Their process, similar to that used to make fine single malt scotches and high-end French cognacs, requires more skill and effort, but we think it?s well worth it. Windspiel - Theheart of this creation is the spirit of discovery. It drove Fridericus Rex to bring the potato to Germany and inspired us to produce a gin from it. Classic juniper berries, lemons and coriander combined with our potatoes cultivated in rich volcanic soil results in a traditional gin aroma with a mild, delicate flavor. To give it a special character, cinnamon bark and lavender as well as other botanicals have been added - according to a secret recipe of the master distiller. The Broken Heart Original Gin is born from the memory of a beloved life lost. Two Germans who met in the South of New Zealand found friendship in one another, and bonded over the appreciation of creating fine spirits. After Bernd died, Joerg endeavoured to create a gin that captured the heart of those glory days, and henceforth came this finely balanced remedy for a broken heart. 

The harmony between the botanicals paints a picture of dry Central Otago summer, with earthy, floral, spicy and fresh flavour profiles. A gin for all occasions, perfectly matched with your preferred tonic and a fresh slice of orange.

Your first note will be bold citrus which gives way to soft juniper, finally flowing into a welcome ginger note that tails off and leaves you with the anticipation of taking your next sip.

Pot distilled to maximise the flavour, using the authentic London Dry method - with only water added after distillation.

This gin can be enjoyed on ice, or if you fancy G&T's then it's recommended to pair with East Imperial Yuzu Tonic, Grapefruit Tonic or Grapefruit Soda. The recommended garnishes are a fresh lime slice, celery cut or fresh mint/lemon balm. It goes equally well in a cocktail too, to make the ultimate versatile gin.

A superb-looking decanter bottle of XO rum from Barbados, aged in bourbon barrels before being shipped to France for a secondary maturation in Cognac casks from the Ferrand house. The result is a well balanced rum with a remarkably long finish, with a palate of chocolate, banana, coconut and mango. Now this is some very good stuff.

Nose: Hints of spicy oak on the nose, with guava, a little desiccated coconut and dried banana. Buttery.

Palate: Spiced, creamy palate entry, with sweet vanilla notes and caramel. Oaky spices.

Finish: Caramel. Toasted oak.

Hendrick’s Amazonia Gin, a Duty Free retail exclusive, was inspired by head distiller Lesley Gracie’s visit to South America in 2013. It was here she met not only Mr Charles Brewer-Carías, one of the world’s most respected explorers, she was also introduced to a host of fascinating flora and fauna. Based on the classic Hendrick’s Gin recipe, which includes cucumber and rose, this expression also uses flora from the Amazon to create a gin that’s tropical and bright with a carefully balanced blend of fruit and floral whist retaining notes of the classic Hendrick’s Gin profile. Exploring the Amazon rainforest and jungles of Venezuela, the experience left a lasting impression that inspires Lesley to this day.
