Moët Impérial is typically a blend of 30% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay and is made from grapes grown in several different sub-regions within the wider Champagne region.

It tastes medium to full bodied and dry with crisp acidity and a long finish. Flavours are of fresh apples and citrus. 

It is part of the large Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessey (LVMH) group; the world's largest champagne producer. 

Veuve Clicquot is one of the world's biggest selling champagnes and is produced by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey in a range of styles and packaging. 

Veuve is named after the late, great Widow Clicquot, who was left not only a widow aged 27 but also in charge of running a champagne house. Her legacy is to have left both the brand and the region in better condition than she found them, mostly famously by inventing riddling; the turning of the bottle to remove the yeast sediment into its neck, prior to disgorgement. This resulted in higher quality, cleaner, fresher bubbles in both look and taste. Her quest was quality and she is widely credited with having raised it significantly in the Champagne region and in the bottles it produces.

The yellow label non vintage (NV) blend is typically made up of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier.

This great Champagne is made by the Epernay based producer, Champagne Lombard, and it is staggeringly good quality with amazing balance and complexity for this price. 

Smooth, zingy, citrusy and beautifully toasty. A rare good deal. 

Terroir: Limestone terrace and gravel with pebbles soil.

Winemaking: The grapes are destemmed before fermentation takes place at a temperature of 28° C for 12 days with daily pumping over for maximum colour and flavour extraction. Rack and return is performed twice at the end of the fermentation.

Tasting: Round and smooth Syrah with rich blackberry and plum aromas .

A gorgeous wine, made with 40% Syrah, 35% Carignan, 15% Grenache Noir & 10% Marselan (a cross between Grenache & Cabernet Sauvignon) showing just what old vines can do when they find themselves in the right soils (in this case limestone terrace overlaid with gravel).

The Carignan grapes undergo semi-carbonic maceration whilst the Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes are destemmed and fermented at a temperature of 28 ° C for 14 days. Malolactic fermentation and ageing takes place in stainless steel to retain freshness of flavour.

The result is rich, juicy and fruit forward with aromas of white pepper, cassis, violets, and sage. Lush and decadent, with a lingering chocolate-raspberry finish.

This is one of our favourite Côtes du Rhône villages wines, thanks to being a great producer and a complex blend of grapes, including 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. This lovely blend provides this wine with its dark colour, deep rich concentrated fruit flavours and impressive structure. All of which makes Cassagnes de la Nerthe a wine to age as well as to enjoy right now.

It is made from grapes grown in Sérignan du Comtat, 20 kilometres north of Châteauneuf du Pape. 

This is a top wine from an excellent producer - worth keeping or enjoying. Better still, buy a case of it and do both. 

La Grande Dame is one of the great champagnes and is a big, dry, toasty, full bodied wine, made from 90% Pinot Noir, which adds layers of savoury depths to this complex bubbly, and 10% Chardonnay. It is named in homage to the Grands Cru vineyards from which the grapes in this wine come, from Champagne villages Aÿ, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Verzy and Verzenay and 47% Chardonnay from Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.

Beautiful creamy new Chablis with a smooth body and lovely balance of crisp fresh citrus flavours - layers of lemon zest, creamy nutty aromas and ripe grapefruit all vie for attention in each lively sip of this dry white. Chablis is hot property for lovers of great Chardonnay and is also the name of one of the coolest climates in the wine world; the northernmost part of Burgundy in north east France. 

The Petit Chablis takes its roots in Portland soil which is essentially made up of limestone. This appellation is the fruitiest of the Chablis wines and results in a fresh and pleasurable wine.

From 1.15 hectares of southeast-facing limestone vineyards planted between 1970 and 1994 at 820ft elevation, this elegant wine matures for 9–10 months in oak, with 25% new barrels. Delicate and refined, it offers bright fruit-driven character and graceful structure. Approachable in youth yet capable of short-term cellaring, it pairs beautifully with Charolais beef.

The Marchand Tawse Marsannay Rouge 2022 is an expressive, organic Pinot Noir from the northernmost appellation of Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. It features ripe red fruit profiles like strawberry and red plum, balanced by fine spices, velvety tannins, and a signature mineral, saline finish.
