NAUTILUS METHODE CUVEE NV MARLBOROUGH
Nautilus Cuvée Marlborough is modelled on the best of bubbles - it takes its winemaking inspiration from Champagne Bollinger, a portion of which is fermented in aged French oak barrels, which adds weight, subtle complexity depth of flavour.
This is a bubbly of real beauty which is late disgorged to ensure freshness remains king in every bottle.
Nautilus is a member of Methodé Marlborough, a group of quality minded winemakers in the country's biggest wine region, who have dedicated themselves to producing sparkling wines with a minimum of 18 months aging in the bottle and made 100% from grapes grown in their region.
Winemaker Clive Jones of Nautilus takes this goal several steps further, aging this wine for three years in bottle, which gives it time to develop its pronounced yeasty, fresh bread aromas and rich savoury style.
This wine punches well above its weight on price.
