Vineyard This wine is from our BioGro certified organic and Demeter certified biodynamic estate vineyard located in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. The vineyard was planted in 1998 after careful site selection and is the pioneer vineyard in Bendigo New Zealand. The soils on the beautiful north facing slope are Waenga fine sandy loam and Molyneux shallow sandy loam soils. The Pinot Noir clones 10/5 and 5 have been used for the production of this Methode Traditionnelle sparkling wine. Planted with a vine density of 3,800 vines per hectare on 44.55° south. 

Cuvee 100% Pinot Noir, hand-picked on the 8th March 2022 in ideal condition. Bottle fermented and aged on lees for a minimum of 24 months. Riddled and disgorged by hand at Quartz Reef.

Trapiche is one of Argentina's best known wineries and based in the country's wine HQ, Mendoza, where it owns over 1,000 hectares of vineyards, devoted mostly to Malbec - the great red of this part of South America.

Trapiche's Oak Cask Malbec sees a minimal amount of oak, which adds a touch of spice and complexity to this otherwise fruity, dry, medium bodied red. Great value for money and lively drinking year round.

Graham’s Late Bottled Vintage Port (LBV) is a superb wine, selected from the finest production of what was a spectacular year. Whereas Vintage Port spends two years in casks and then matures in bottle, LBV is matured in seasoned oak and then bottled at between four and six years of age; hence the term, ‘late bottled’. Its ageing process encourages the wine’s development, and as such, at the time of bottling it is ready to drink without the need for decanting.

Coopers XPA is all about ‘extra’ hop flavour whilst being well balanced and easy to drink. With Simcoe and Lemondrop American hops added at different stages of the brewing process we have achieved an optimal bitterness level with bright citrus undertones. Like all of our Ales, XPA is naturally conditioned and free from any additives or preservatives.

Our 'Pale' is naturally conditioned in the bottle, can or keg. This traditional Coopers brewing method produces the trademark sediment that gives our ales a distinctive, fine cloudy appearance.

This Fine Tawny has fervent fans around the world who love it for its approachability and its caramel nuttiness. And who are we to argue?

Style

Young, vibrant wines are expertly blended and oak aged for up to three years. Fine Tawny has a fruitiness of youth and a nuttiness from the casks, while the ageing makes it lighter in appearance than ruby ports. A not-so-dark horse.

Goes well with

Creamier desserts like rice pudding as well as dried fruit and nuts. Pairs brilliantly with after-lunch card games.

The mysterious nature of this beer is that it brings out what we love in New Zealand hops - piney, floral, citrusy notes supported by a medium body and rich but pleasant bitterness. Packed with Waimea, Nelson Savuin, Taiheke, Pacific Jade and Motueka hops this beer is a real beast, Sea Beast!
