LA GRANDE LAGER with LIME 4.5%
This beer has come to slay your thirst! Pouring pale gold with a lively effervescence, this Mexican-style lager is a burst of bright citrus and floral notes from the Saaz Special hops followed by a splash of crisp lime juice which will chill your feisty heart. Crisp as morning dew and clean as a fine stiletto blade, this beer was brewed with Czech malts which tame the zesty aromatics and create a balanced harmony between beast and beer.
 

CORDOBA HAZY DOUBLE IPA

Sink deep into this juicy, full-bodied hazy double IPA that hits like a tropical fruit salad with notes of crushed berries, mango, passionfruit, peach and grapefruit from the Mosaic, Citra and Strata hops. Creamy and drinking smooth as silk from the addition of golden oats to the grain bill, this beer brings a luxurious refreshment with every sip.

ALTAMIRA BRIGHT DOUBLE IPA

This golden double IPA is loaded with Motueka, Nelson Sauvin and Citra hops giving grapefruit, lemon, lime, gooseberry and white grape aromatics, grounded by light malts.

This beer is a tribute to the Matron Saint of Emerson’s. Richard’s Mum, Ingrid. Without her belief, patience, and tolerance, Emerson’s Brewery wouldn’t be here today. So for the wise woman, is this Weissbier — her absolute favourite. It’s light and cloudy, with a sweet bready aroma, notes of banana and sherbet, and a tart, spicy flavour. Quiet, yet full of intrigue and backbone. Just like Ingrid.

The taste of Kiwi hay paddocks and sunshine, bright fresh fruity New Zealand hop aromas (passionfruit, mango, citrus) layered over a firm biscuity malt backbone.

Refreshing and complex. As far as we are concerned the crucial element for a perfect summer. 

Drink with: Barbequed fish, shellfish , salads.

Emerson's - This is more than a beer. It's a monument to the late, great Jean-Pierre Dufour. Food scientist. Biophysicist. Beer legend. Every year on his birthday, we release a Belgian style beer in his honour. This one's a Quadrupel. A strong dark ale fermented using belgian yeast, with cherry, clove, dried fruit flavours and a spicy finish. Sometimes we drink to remember.

The adventure doesn’t have to end when you get home. Day Tripper is a low carb beer that’s as intrepid as you are. Brewed with a combination of hop pellets and hop oil, for better mouthfeel, balance, fruitiness, and complexity. It’s more than just a post-activity refresher, it’s a flavour journey all of its own — from tangelo base camp, all the way to a crisp, stone fruit finish line. Enjoy the trip.

Hand harvested and lightly oaked Chardonnay from Martinborough with floral touches intermingling with pineapple, honey nougat, citrus and baked cheesecake on the nose. The palate is fresh with superb acidity and creamy spiced sweetness.

Commercial description

Single-vineyard, premium Pinot Noir.  

A wine whose character has intrigued us throughout its development.  Flavours flowed and receded throughout ferment.  Texture shifting from weighty to silky.  It was deceptive, multifaceted.  Not to be taken at face value.  This is a princess in overalls.  A poet painting fences.

Lit with a pure bright brilliance in colour. Classic Wairarapa expression - complex savoury flavours on a silky bed of pert & poised acidity & complementary tannins.

For us, flavours evoked include dark cherry, vanilla & mushroom.  There's a sense of black liquorice strap & dark cocoa too.  Whatever you find, very confident you will agree this is sensuous, balanced & complex wine.  Sophisticated & powerful. Worthy of your time.  Will cellar well.

Hand-harvested by neighbours & friends.

Home Fields operates from their original vineyard, planted in 1993, plus four additional lease vineyards.  The yield potential is approximately 50 tonnes, the majority of which being Pinot Noir, with several tonnes each of Chardonnay, Syrah and Pinot Gris.

For this wine the Pinot Noir grapes were lightly pressed, separated from skins and fermented to “dry” over ten days. 

Tasting
In the bottle, flavours offer a mix of strawberry with tangerine / grapefruit citrus notes. Tannins and acid lend body to the wine.

This time we bring you All Kiwi Everything by Brooklyn’s one and only Otherhalf, a hazy, hoppy homage to our favourite New Zealand hop varieties. Brewed with a mountain of Southern Cross, Motueka, Nelson and Rakau. It’s loaded with candied lemon-lime, tropical fruit, white wine and sweet grapefruit aromatics and flavour. Bringing home the goodness.
