Dolcetto is a one of the hidden treasures of Piemonte with its smooth rounded mouthfeel and impressive body and drinkability. This is a deliciously complex example from Dogliani in the region. 

Plantings of this grape declined in the 1990?s in favour of the more expensive, easier to market Barolo and Barberescos. It came down to money, not quality and quietly the wine world mourned. Luckily a few faithful enclaves remained faithful to the grape like in Dogliani just south of Alba.

The wine is jet black in colour with a sumptuous nose of blackberries dusted with exotic spices - fruity with great length and structure.

Iconic big, full bodied red from the hillside town of Montalcino, which is a small enclave of big wines close to the Tuscan coast. Brunello di Montalcinos by law have to be 100% Sangiovese; the great red grape of Tuscany. Maceration and ageing times are long and result in wines that can be kept in a cool dark cellar for 10+ years, evolving beautiful into even more savoury, velvety reds over that time. 

This lovely smooth wine has a powerful structure with aromas of spice, balsamic and ripe dark fruit.

Showing a gentle blush of colour, this Rose is both charming and pretty, yet still offers great structure and drive. With initial hints of watermelon and pink rosebud florals the nose then opens to reveal wild strawberries and cream. Cocchi's Barolo Chinato still follows the traditional recipe: Barolo DOCG wine (100% Nebbiolo) is infused with the bark of the Calissaja Quinine tree, rhubarb roots and cardamom seeds as well as a secret blend of herbs and spices before being laid down for lengthy maturation. The first thing you notice is the complexity, your nose picking up bitter and honeyed characteristics at the same time. Roasted orange peel, cloves, cherries, eucalyptus and dried figs are all present. These flavors evolve on the palate into a battle of bitter versus sweet characters that coat your tongue; rhubarb, date, sultana, cloves, Five Spice and orange bitters are all present to give a lovely warm mouthfeel. Mort Subite Oude Gueuze is a traditionally produced oude gueuze. The lambics reserved for the Mort Subite Oude Gueuze "are chosen at an early stage in fermentation" because they show promise for long term development.

7% ABV.

In large oak barrels of more than a hundred years, lambic from all four corners of the PAJOTTENLAND ripens for years. Especially for you, lambic of 1, 2 and 3 years old was carefully tested, mixed and bottled. This Geuze only contains wheat, barley malt and hops. Not pasteurized and spontaneously refermented in the bottle.

3 Fonteinen Framboos is the result of macerating hand-picked whole raspberries on young lambic for at least four months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic. 

The raspberry lambic is then blended again with more young lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 35% fruit, and is bottled immediately afterwards. These bottles are then stored in our cellars for at least five months so that the raspberry lambic can develop into a beautiful, traditional, and refined Framboos. With an abundant forest fruit nose as it warms in the glass, 

3 Fonteinen Framboos will age perfectly but may lose some of the vibrant colours and forest fruit aromas. This unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artifcial juices, syrups, or sugars added.

Martha Guilty Pleasure (rouge/red)

Brewed with fresh sour cherry’s this high fermentation ale has a ruby red color and a reddish pale head. This beer has a scent and aroma of fresh marzipan with an explosion of cherries and raspberries. A play of sweet and sour that refreshes and charms with a very light bitterness that nicely balances the whole. It is surprisingly light and easily digestible for a fairly strong beer.
