Can we be a little less modest than usual for once? We have already won a lot of prizes with our Weizenbock, including the best bock beer in the Netherlands. We had to name it anyway.
Deep ruby red in color, heavy and with the fresh taste of a Weizen. But are you thinking, dark beer and Weizen? How is that possible? Weizen is German for wheat, not white. This means that there is at least 50% wheat in the beer. This ensures a nice foam head and a fresh taste. Fresh with banana scent, and yet the warming of the alcohol with roasted malt in it. Can you see yourself sitting by the fireplace? We do.

Our brewmaster, Jef Versele, crafted this exclusive Gulden Draak Brewmasters Edition as a tribute to his grandfather Jozef Van Steenberge and the 230th birthday of the brewery. His inspiration came from his numerous trips to the United States and his deepest respect for the craft beer culture. This exclusive Gulden Draak combines the technology and the craftsmanship of the traditional brewing process. By letting the beer mature on whiskey barrels it gives it a distinctive and gentle finish that you have never tasted before.

"Every batch we create of our 10-year-old Cask Strength represents the direction in which we are taking The GlenAllachie" - Master Distiller, Billy Walker.
Demonstrating the impact of exceptional cask management, the tenth edition of our highly-sought after release embodies this philosophy and stands proudly alongside its award-winning predeccesors.
Each striving to better the last, Batch 10 is a true illustration of the artistry and expertise that creates every drop of our liquid gold. To deliver our classically Sherried profile, Billy hand-selected Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso casks to be married with spirit maturing in red wine barriques and medium toast/medium char American virgin oak barrels. The result is a well-balanced, yet complex malt with distinctive notes of dark fruits and layers of warming sweet spice.
Presented in its purest form at natural cask strength of 58.6%, without added colouring or chill-filtration.

A cheeky 'n cheerful Pinot Noir which over delivers on all counts. Nor Wester Pinot is named after the eponymous dry north west wind that blows through North Canterbury's vineyards, often decimating bunches of grapes and ensuring that those remaining can develop thicker skins than Pinot Noir usually has. This can help to define the earthy flavours and impressive structure of the wines made in this region and, even at this relatively humble price, quality remains surprisingly high.
Nor' Wester is a blend of grapes from the region, fermented in small batches with daily hand plunging and aged in French oak for 10 months. It's a very similar style to Greystone Pinot Noir, only it's not a 100% estate grown wine.
It offers outstanding value for money with delicious drinking now and potential to hold.
About Greystone
The Greystone wine story began in 2000 when the Thomas Family bought an old sheep farm on the Omihi hills in the Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. The rolling limestone hills lured this family in and their goal was a single minded one: to make great wines from the limestone rich soils here. Fast forward 20 years and Greystone is one of the great (and, some might say, yet to be fully discovered) wineries in this outstanding wine region. Not least due to the work of winemaker Dom Maxwell and general manager Nick Gill, who began working together in 2005 and has grown along with the brand and quality.
