Unit price perUntouched – Muroka Nama Genshu – Jyunmai Ginjo 1
Zenkuro UNTOUCHED Muroka nama genshu is a very special style of sake which can only be produced in small amounts from each batch of sake. Only the sake from the very middle part of the pressing process is used, after it has been laboriously drip pressed. This middle take is the cleanest and most delicate portion of sake. Without processing, aging or blending, it immediately offers up sake with naturally well balanced flavours, gentle umami, soft viscosity and delightful aromas. In order to share this with you, the sake has been bottled in this fresh, untouched condition; un-filtered, unpasteurised and un-diluted.
Zenkuro UNTOUCHED will complement the full range of wonderful food flavours.

Unit price perDr John Forrest is a Riesling lover and that shines through in this deliciously honeyed lime zest and green apple tasting sweet wine. This luscious sweetie was made entirely from Riesling grapes which were late harvested and heavily botrytis effected. Botrytis is a form of rot, often known as 'noble rot' because it can make grapes and wines taste utterly succulent and delicious. It shrivels the grapes, concentrating the flavours of the juicy inside, creating less of it for winemaking but more intense flavours. Riesling works well as a grape for this purpose because it has naturally high acidity, which balances the flavours and sweetness of the wine.

Unit price perOne of our favourite Italian white grape varieties here at Regional Wines and definitely one of the world's least well known whites. - Timorasso. This Italian white variety comes from the tiny hillside appellation of Colli Tortonesi DOC in Piemonte.
The grapes in this wine were grown on vineyards located in Monleale in the Alessandria Province, which has a south east and south west exposure and clay limestone soils..
This dry white has high acidity with a medium to full body and white floral notes with flavours of peach, nectarine and a nutty taste on the finish. It drinks well now but definitely has the potential to age.
Winemakers Elena and Luca Currado Vietti fell in love with Timorasso when they first tasted it in the 1990s and have now joined the ranks of producers of this grape, which they describe as a thoroughbred varietal.
Timorasso...
Timorasso can be traced back to the Middle Ages and is a vigorous grape in terms of growth. It was nearly extinct after the European phylloxera epidemic of the late 1800s and has slowly been revived so there is now a total of 110 hectares, of which Vietti has 7.1 hectares.
Its production is centred around the town of Tortona, known in Roman times as Derthona, hence the name on the label.

Unit price perMoscato d’Asti Gianni Doglia produced with 100% Moscato Bianco
Place of production: Fraz. Annunziata, Castagnole Lanze (Asti) Italy
Harvest: Beginning of September
Yield: 9000 kg per hectare/Ha
Vinification:
To preserve in the wine all of the fragrance of the fruit you need to adopt a particular technique of harvesting and vini cation. In fact, the grapes, from vineyards owned by the company, are harvested manually in the vineyard and lied with care in boxes for the transportation to the winery; here they are pressed gently and the must obtained is preserved in cooling vats (-1,5° C) until it is time to vinify it in the autoclave. The fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and with the help of selected yeasts until it reaches 5% alcohol. Afterwards the wine will be altered and bottled. This is how you obtain a lively wine with strong and intense varietal characteristics.
5% ABV
Color: straw yellow with green hues.
Nose: intense and exciting. The varietal aromatic tones are articulated in delicate oral notes like jasmine, rose, sage, mint with fruity tones of peach, apricot, pineapple and banana.
Taste: A Natural slightly sparkling wine; the sweet and aromatic taste is accompanied from a fresh citrus finish with a long persistence.
Food coupling:
The Moscato d’Asti is an excellent wine for dessert that goes well with pastries and fruit cakes; moreover, thanks to the moderate alcohol content is a pleasant refreshing drink in the summer. More provocative is the coupling with cold cuts and cheeses; a provocation that will amaze you.
