Peckham's - To make Pommeau we ferment apple juice fresh from the press, allow it to mature and then have it distilled into apple brandy.  About 12 litres of cider go to make each litre of brandy.  The brandy is aged in oak casks until blended with fresh cider apple juice the following harvest.  The sweet, brandy-rich Pommeau is then matured in oak for a further six months before bottling.

All the GOODness of our popular cider married up with locally sourced Doris Plums. Hints of plum & fruit, with sweet and sour taste, makes this one dangerously refreshing.

4.5% ABV.

Alesmith IPA is a classic example of San Diego's take on the American IPA.  A bright bouquet of grapefruit and tangerine aroma lead into an abundance of fresh pine and tropical fruit notes followed by crisp and resinous hops.  

This intricate hop profile is supported by a firm malt presence with notes of caramel and toffee, creating an incredibly flavourful and well-balanced beer. It's high alcohol content may catch you unawares if you're not careful, but it's hard to resist once you've tasted it.

This special library release is a one off which we have been lucky enough to secure a small amount of while featuring Palliser Estate as our winery of the month. This is the greatest dry aromatic white of the Palliser stable. It's fleshy, flavoursome and beautifully peachy buoyed up by the balance of great lime zest and a lingering citrusy finish. 

Dry Riesling is Palliser Estate's unsung hero white wine and this seven year old dry version is a stellar example. 

It's ripe and fleshy with beautiful balance provided by the citrusy acidity which adds length to this lovely wine. 

The grapes are grown on the organically certified Om Santi Vineyard and the Palliser Estate Vineyard.

A medium bodied American amber ale that balances a solid hop profile with a light caramel and toasty malt character. A prominent nose of bright citrus, pine, some caramel sweetness, biscuits, and light toasty malt. The sweet caramel and honey-like malt flavors complement the delicate fruitiness from the hops. The finish is toasty, subtly grassy, yet very balanced

The most flavoursome Chardonnay barrels are selected after a year of aging and then blended together to make this pinnacle of Seresin's dry, full bodied white wines, the Reserve Chardonnay. The reserve wine spends another six months in old oak puncheons, gaining depth, complexity and integration of flavour thanks to this additional maturation.

The organic story at Seresin

One of the greatest things about Seresin Estate is the organic certification. This came relatively early on for Seresin, who was dismayed by the amount used and the impacts of man made chemicals, which were routinely and frequently sprayed on vines. His early adopting philosophy of organic certification paved a positive path for the integrity of the wines as well as leading others to follow suit.

50/50 Chardonnay and Riesling blend from the dry-farmed, organic Weka vineyard nesled between the sea and Upper Moutere. The 2024 season was warmer and drier than we usually experience in the Nelson Tasman. This intensity gave the grapes thicker skins and a bit more physiological ripeness. This wine is still unmistakably ‘Pollen’ our salty white blend. It’s textural and driven by bright acidity but
this vintage shows a slightly riper expression: waxy lemon phenolics, tropical lift, and stone fruit through the mid-palate,finishing with that signature saline complexity. Wild fermented and aged in large format neutral oak for a year followed by 6 months in bottle prior to release, unfined and unfiltered.

Unfiltered Belgian White, flavoured with coriander and orange peel, creating a sweet & sour taste.

Since 2002, the Balvenie distillers have dedicated one week a year to distilling whisky with 100% peated barley, resulting in the Peat Week bottlings! This is the second release in the series - a 14 year old single malt distilled in 2003, showing off hearty helping of rich smoke.

Nose: Toasted oak with a hint of heather, stroopwafel and coffee, flamed orange peel and dry cedar.

Palate: Butterscotch, roasted apricot, a light touch of floral malt, grows enjoyably spicy as it develops.

Finish: Earthy peat lingers alongside runny honey notes.

Matahiwi's top and most full bodied Pinot Noir from its home block vineyard on a raised gravel ridge east of Masterton. This wine is dark and has great depth and structure thanks to being made from 50% of the impressive Abel clone; the greatest Pinot Noir variant in New Zealand and all given whole cluster fermentation in this wine to add structure, accentuate dark fruit flavours and a complex note of spice. Unfined. Vegan.
