Marlborough's Renaissance has had a cracking year taking out both the Champion Brewery Award at the NZ Beer Awards and Champion Small Brewery Award in Australia. Stonecutter is their flagship combining a rich complex caramel and coffee malt character with a hint of peat smoke, and a raisin and marmalade fruitiness. Stonecutter is every bit the match to a charred steak off the barbecue.

When theatres close their doors they keep an electric light illuminated on the stage, to keep the resident ghosts happy. With lockdown, Ghost Lights have been burning bright on stages around the world. Good for the ghosts, not so for those in the Arts. Brewed with extra light malt, oats and a blend of Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops, creating a brilliant white gold brew, with a distinctly spectral haze. Just what’s needed to raise spirits.

What is a table beer? 

Brewed to be lighter in alcohol, this sparkling farmhouse style ale has been aged in oak and lightly dry hopped with Wai-iti and Pacifica creating a beer that is dry, crisp and ever so slightly tart. It just might be the most refreshing thing you've put in your mouth. 

Great with food or for any time you feel like a thirst quenching beer without the heavy alcohol. Table, table here we come.

Intensely rich with a velvety texture, our Double Cream Milk Stout contains a non-fermentable lactose sugar derived from 100% pure NZ milk. 

 Layering dark mocha, chocolate and liquorice aromatics, this creamy brew offers a luxurious drinking experience.

The Mixed Six contains: Copacabana Brut IPA 7.1%, Diamond Head Hazy IPA 5.6%, Newtown Hazy Pale Ale 4.8%, Brixton Pale Ale 4.4%, Kingsland Pilsner 4.5%, Detroit IPA 5.8%

generously hopped Pilsner takes the Bohemian style of aromatic lager and reforms it with a generous dose of Nelson grown hops. Citrus, spice and tropical fruit float over a sweet malt base before a firm bitter finale. A revelation of Kiwi ingenuity

5% ABV.

Biscuity pilsner malt and distinctive Motueka and Riwaka hops bringing aromas of lemon and lime. Nelson Sauvin for a tart gooseberry hit. Straw coloured appearance, brilliantly clear, with a long lasting white head. Crisp and bitter. Medium dry finish.

4.8% ABV. 

Pale golden colour with a foamy white head. Light biscuity malt notes carry the hops. A mix of American Citra and NZ Cascade hops give the beer a bright and vibrant citrus burst. Crisp and drinkable. Lower in alcohol than most IPAs.

Oud Bruin, the traditional brown ale of Flemish Belgium, here painstakingly recreated and lovingly tended by Dave Bell, our Wild Workshop brewer.  Prolonged ageing in wood with a blend of yeasts and Lactobacillus creates a beer bursting wit dark sour cherry and dried fruit flavours, topped off with coffee and chocolate notes.  Dark and complex, a little bit like our Dave.  

Ask not for whom the Bell toils, he toils for thee.

7.7% ABV.

Classic Lager Taste. Half the size. Meet 2.3% ABV Northern Light Vienna Lager. Crisp lager profile upfront with cracker-like aroma. It drinks smooth & hits above its weight with a surprisingly full body for such a low ABV beer. Toasty & bready malt palate hints of biscuits to a clean, dry finish with just enough bitterness to keep it refreshing.

Session Lager - 2.6% ABV

'Smuggler Bay' Series - Breadalbane Barrel-aged Blended Sour is an enticing blend of numerous sour beer vintages from our barrel program, the majority being former Marlborough Chardonnay casks. Aromas of grapefruit & dank gooseberry lead to a soft sourness hinting at oak & vanilla. Finish 

6.7% ABV

Pale Ales are known for being aromatic with a balance of a lighter body with some maltiness and mellow bitterness.  Taking the concept from the Hazy IPAs we triple dryhopped our Sippin' on Sunshine to bring out the juiciness while having a lighter body and pleasant crisp finish.  Mosaic and Sultana hops contribute to tropical notes while NZ Southern Cross creates a refreshing lemon flavor!

Sunshine Brewing - Born of sun, sea and hot afternoons, Gizzy Gold, as it’s known locally, is our classic thirst quenching and award winning session lager. Dry, crisp and refreshing, it has a lightly toasted maltiness over a solid Green Bullet hop backbone.

Fermented at a low temperature with its own imported yeast strain, it’s a time proven brew to wash out the salt out after a hard day’s surfing, working or playing.
