Made with heavily peated barley at the Tobermory distillery, this Ledaig is a very elemental dram, with a raft of mineral and oceanic flavours and aromas. After a sweet and creamy start, Island qualities take over - evoking seaweed, lobster meat and rock pools. A mellow and complex peaty flavour remains at the heart of this dram, earthy and rich with notes of burnt rubber and smoked cheese.

This bottling, distilled at Benriach Distillery has been matured for 12 years, with a finish in Amontillado Hogsheads. Foam banana sweets open up on the nose, followed by dates, ginger, floral honey and gorse flowers. On the palate there are notes of rich vanilla custard, beeswax, and honey glazed poached pears. Cinnamon scrolls, star anise and banoffee pie linger on the finish.

Cadenhead Spanish Rum 17yo 46% 700ml 

Bottled by Scotland's oldest independent bottler, this 17 year old rum is a rare first for us, hailing from an undisclosed distillery in Spain. Distilled in 2007, the flavour opens with sticky treacle toffee, liquorice, and pine needles, moving to seville oranges and citrus rind. To finish, crystallized ginger and warming nutmeg.

This Tamnavulin from Cadenhead has spent 14 years maturing in a small selection of ex-bourbon barrels. Aromas of juicy stone fruits soaked in syrup, fresh pineapple, peaches and grapefruit kick off this summery feeling dram. Zesty lemons with banana cake covered in caramel buttercream arrive on the palate. Finally, warm fruits, flat cola and chocolate biscuits come through to finish.
