The 2010 Château Meyney is a full-bodied red Bordeaux blend from the Saint-Estèphe appellation in France, praised as a major vintage sleeper with rich black currant, earthy, and meaty notes. 

The 2018 Senejac is deep garnet-purple coloured with a nose of warm berries, earth, herbs and tobacco plus floral notions. The palate is full-bodied and rich with fine-grained tannins, nice freshness and good length. 90-92 Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate (2019).

"Bottled just one month before my tasting, Clape’s 2023 Cornas opens with a deep, introverted bouquet of cassis, mulberries and licorice mingled with carnal notes. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and structured, it’s built around a firm, somewhat austere palate with a good chassis of youthful tannins that lead to a spicy, lead pencil-inflected finish. Despite its brooding character, it should benefit from time in the cellar."

"One of the smart purchases this year is the 2022 La Dame de Montrose, a second wine that would embarrass numerous classified growths. Based on 71% Merlot, the Dame sees a more reductive élevage than the grand vin, which is perfectly adapted to this variety. Opening to reveal aromas of sweet cassis, cherries and berries mingled with hints of violets, spices and orange zest, it's full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, with a powerful but controlled profile."

Winery notes: With 80% Grenache and 20% syrah, this wine is a classic southern Rhône red with ample rich fruit and an appealing herbal freshness. The palate is lusciously textured with plum, strawberry and a touch of spice. Uncomplicated and deliciously drinkable yet serious enough to accompany food.

This wine was created in 1952 by Charles Brotte with the co-operation of local Provençale glass and ceramic craftsmen. The original and surprising bottle shape represents the gnarled and twisted vines typical of the region due to their struggle of growing against the Mistral wind. La Fiole, “Phiala” in latin refers to a “precious bottle”. The bottle is exclusive as we are the only winery permitted to use this shape. “Pape” evokes the cru of Châteauneuf-du-Pape as well as the  presence of the Popes in the region and village in the Middle Ages. The bottle’s golden anthracite grey powder recalls wines of former times.

The wine is unique and of constant quality. A majority of Grenache, an important share of Reserve Wines – 30 to 40% (some of which are 5 years old) give it fruitiness, freshness and maturity, intensity and smoothness. The wine can be savoured immediately or be kept 5 to 7 years.

Grape 85% Mourvèdre, 15% Grenache

Its fresh and ripe blackcurrant nose is marked by aromas of spices. A frank, fresh and dense attack on the palate makes it a very delicious wine. Peyrassol Croix Méditerranée Rouge 2022 offers a classic southern French blend, led by Merlot and Grenache with Mediterranean warmth and generosity.
