Chateau du Trignon is located on the Trignon river which divides Sablet and Gigondas in the southern Rhone.

The Roussanne grapes are planted on clay-limestone alluvial terraces which provide hot, stony, well-drained soils which decrease vigour and push ripeness. The wine is pneumatic pressed, with settling and fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats at low temperatures to retain freshness.

'The refined 2021 L'Hermitage was cropped at 37 hL/ha and bottled in early September 2023. It is laced with finely delineated orange rind, raspberry, red cherry, red plum, dried herbs, pencil shavings, black cherry, crushed violet and cedar. Showing excellent tension on the medium-bodied palate, the 2021 brings it home with clarity and freshness. The Chave family is based in a small village on the northern right bank of the Rhone. There have been Chaves growing vines on the famous Hermitage hill since 1481.

The wine has lovely almond and acacia flower scents and wonderfully-textured white stone fruit palate with a long, elegant finish.

C?tes-du-Rh?ne is a blend of excellent plots in Vinsobres, Visan, Buisson, and Estargues while ?Sil?ne? Crozes-Hermitage is 50% estate Syrah and 50% purchased. As with all things Chave, quality is eminent even at the entry level.

A classic southern Rhone white blend made up of 50% Roussanne, 30%
Grenache Blanc, 10% Viognier and 10% Marsanne from Costieres de Nimes AOC. 

After a short skin maceration, fermentation is conducted at 18?C in stainless tanks
with no malolactic fermentation to retain as much freshness as possible.
The Grenache Blanc brings minerality, the Viognier brings aromas of apricot and peach and the Marsanne and Roussanne add citrus and floral complexity.

Shockingly good given the difficulties in Crozes during the growing season (it rained - a lot), the 2021 Crozes-Hermitage Silene has a pretty, complex, elegant perfume of red berries, spring flowers, cedary herbs, and pepper, with some classic Northern Rhône bacon fat. Nicely textured, medium-bodied, and elegant, with good ripeness, it's a rock-solid, classic, old school-styled Crozes to enjoy over the coming 7-8 years.

Commercial description

Cote-Rotie "La Turque" is one of the flagship of the Domaine Guigal. A powerful wine with spicy notes, its terroirs from the Cote Brune with “blond accents” lends it a great elegance.

Commercial description

The Côte-Rôtie « La Mouline » is one of the most emblematic of the Guigal domain’s wines. Small quantities are produced each year from a vineyard in the heart of the ‘Côte Blonde’. This is a voluptuous, silky and intensely aromatic wine.

Overall : A feminine wine with voluptuous silky texture and intense aromas.

Clape Cornas Renaissance is crafted from the Clape estate's younger vines, offering a more approachable and vibrant expression of the appellation. These vines are, nonetheless, over 30 year old, primarily in the Les Sabarotte and Geynale lieux-dits providing heady full bodied Syrah with aromas and flavours of boysenberry, star anise and cola - silky polished tannins and keen acidity. Traditional winemaking approaches, including whole-cluster fermentation, and maturation in old oak foudres enhances the wine's aromatic intensity and structure of the wine offering a fresh, yet profound, interpretation of the esteemed Cornas terroir.
