Idee Folle translates to ‘crazy idea’. This is an unusual blend of white wine grapes (Gros Manseng, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay) which has had an eau-de-vie added to halt fermentation, retaining the wine’s residual sugars.

Les Fondraux is semi-sweet: it always has some residual sugar, wich gives concentration and fullness to the palate. White flowers dominate the nose and help bring into focus all of the wine's freshness, fullness, minerality and vivacity. Whilst young, the wine matches perfectly with river fish, charcuterie, goat's cheese, and sweet-and-sour dishes. With age, the flavours can manage more spicy foods and white meat. - Champalou note.

Brother and sister Pierre and Veronique took over the domain from their parents in 1993 and have carefully maximised the huge potential of the estate. Their wines are superb and constantly gain more and more recognition from discerning wine lovers and critics. 

The vineyard has now more than doubled in size without diminishing the quality which is quite a rare achievement.

The Petit Closi Muscat sec is a white wine made from 50% Muscat petit grain and 50% Muscat of Alexandria. 

The result is an aromatic and dry muscat that is a beautiful golden yellow colour in the glass and offers powerful but elegant flavours of apricot and melon with a honeyed finish.

Big on flavour, low in the use of sulphur. This biodynamic wine comes from Domaine de Causse Marines in the Gaillac appellation in southern France. The blend is 50% Mauzac, 20% Loin de l’Oeil, 20% Muscadelle and 10% each of Chenin and Semillon, all of which combine to create a complex, nuanced white which offers a nutty, stonefruit nose and palate of apricot and green apple notes. Its fresh acidity adds great length.

Chardonnay Rose is a pink-skinned, aromatic variety that the Tissots found in one of their vineyards. A selection massale was planted in their Mailloche, Curon, and Bruyères parcels. This is a very rare example of this grape, from one of France's most beloved regions. Pair this dry white with Morbier and Morteau sausages.

This Pouilly Fumé is grown on chalky clay vineyards grown on sloping hillsides in the Loire Valley. This wine has a floral and smoky character which flatters the fruity aroma, roundness and long, flinty finish.

"Les Baronnes" is a wine of exotic fruit and citrus aromas; subtle yet powerful. Its persistence and harmony find their origin in the exposition and quality of the terroir. Delicate nose with aromas of white flesh fruits and citrus, this Sancerre is highlighted by its typicity. - Henri Bourgeois. 

This is fruity yet mineral, with a perfectly balanced body and acidity. It's a blend of Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and a little-known grape called Terret. Zingy, zesty and full of notes of green apple, kiwifruit and lime zest.

Le Petit Comptoir is a perfect bistro wine for sharing great moments amongst friends. This is a luminous Vin de France for drinking whilst young. Each bottle is hand-dipped in wax to seal it, in a mark of the care given to this production. 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, issued from sustainable viticulture. 

This cuvee is produced at 18000 bottles. Vinification Alcoholic and Malolactic fermentation take place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged and bottled the next spring to preserve the fruity characteristics. 

Tasting notes - Bright ruby color. Intense fruity nose, with hints of red fruits. Palate is elegant and round, with ripe tannins and a lingering finish. An easy drinking wine which will be appreciated in its early years. Pairs best with grilled meat, poultry, and cheese.

The Saumur Champigny Terres Chaudes Rouge is a red wine from the controlled designation of origin of the Loire Valley. It is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on a clay-limestone soil.

Tasting
The Saumur Champigny Terres Chaudes Rouge has aromas of red fruits and spices, with a hint of licorice. It is structured with ample and fleshy tannins. This wine goes perfectly with red meats, saucy dishes, and aged cheeses.

Terroir and Winemaking
Domaine des Roches Neuves practices organic farming to cultivate its vines, which is beneficial for the environment and biodiversity. The grapes are harvested by hand before being rigorously sorted. The winemaking process takes place traditionally with prolonged maceration and aging in tanks and oak barrels for several months. This method produces a powerful and elegant wine that reflects the richness of its terroir.

Fleshy, soft, smooth Merlot from Pays D'Oc in the south of France. Beautiful youthful red made for immediate consumption with satisfying depth of ripe plum flavours supported by moderate oak support for complex flavour notes and a lingering finish. Made with grapes grown on the slopes of the Orb Valley and Herald's Valley in the south of France.

Corbieres is a large appellation in the Languedoc in the south of France and is best known for its deep, dark, full bodied reds, like this wine, made from Grenache and Syrah. The region's warm climate and variety of soils mean that wines from Corbieres tend to gain a complex range of flavours from fruity to earthy and spicy. This wine delivers big time on flavour and is great value for money.
