A legacy gin based on the oldest known recipe in the British Library collection. The recipe was translated from old Dutch and permission was given for the Te Puna Foundation to base their library gin on this recipe. A traditional flavour profile, bright juniper, Grains of Paradise and galangal botanicals and subtle citrus, this gin captures both heritage and possibility. It’s classic, yet curious, timeless yet forward-looking: a distillation of New Zealand’s character and craft.

Hector’s Premium Dry Gin is a luxuriously polished, New Zealand craft gin inspired by the Hector’s dolphin, one of the world’s rarest dolphins, found only around the coastlines of Aotearoa. Inspired by the wasabi root that grows in the Waitapu river of Golden Bay, this gin is unlike anything you’ve tried before. We use real wasabi root (not horseradish) to create a spirit with a clean, green heat and a peppery lift.
