Our entry for the NZIPA Challenge doesn’t need a fancy name, it is what it is – a Good As! NZIPA.

A combo of Kiwi hops pop off with big orange notes – think freshly picked from the tree, and an old school 50c mix of sherbet and gummy sweets – with hints of grape and resin. There’s an easy-drinking bitterness to bring it together, and a smooth malt sweetness to finish. What more can we say – it’s Good As!

India Ale

Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground); best malted barley and a generous amount of choicest aroma hops; fermented in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’ to create an exceptionally full-flavoured complex ale with an abundance of maltiness and fruity hop character.

The label on the bottle is based on Samuel Smith’s Victorian letterhead when the brewery was a contractor to Her Majesty Queen Victoria’s forces.

Neon Haze is a luminous burst of flavor, a hazy IPA inspired by one of Auckland’s most iconic neon relics—the vintage cowboy sign that once adorned the Keans Building on Queen Street. Now glowing in its second life at the Epic Taproom in Onehunga, this legendary sign embodies the electric vibrance of the city's past, much like this hazy IPA captures the bold and bright essence of modern hop-forward styles. Neon Haze pours a radiant, golden haze, swirling with a rich, pillowy body that carries the unmistakable aroma of ripe tropical fruit and candied citrus.

Crafted with El Dorado hops, this IPA delivers an intense rush of juicy pineapple, stone fruit, and sweet pear, balanced by a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Soul Stealer is a brand new fruited oat cream IPA made with our pals Simon & Adam at Superflux Beer Company in Vancouver, Canada. Known for their super smooth IPAs and heavy fruit sour range, we decided to team up and combine these two forces. The result is a silky NZ-hopped IPA with additions of Aussie mango, Canadian maple syrup, Fijian coconut, and Bega milk sugar. Think peach rings, mango lollies, and piña colada vibes.
