Pegasus Bay whites have the X factor and this awesome blend of four grapes is no exception. It's made from Semillon and Chardonnay which add toasty, rich, dry and creamy notes to this off beat wine style. Ultra ripe Semillon from 33 year old vines was fermented naturally with its solids to add some funky complexity, and then aged on lees in old oak barrels for 2 ½ years. A little Gewurztraminer and Muscat add aromatic interest and appeal. 

The longer than usual period in oak has given this wine a toasty and nutty character, with extra richness on the palate. There are also hints of citrus blossom and some floral notes. Skin contact during the fermentation has added savouriness, however, the wine still has crisp acidity that provides for a lively and refreshing finish. A full bodied and complex wine, not for the faint hearted. Funkier than a night on the town with James Brown!

Grapes grown at Te Awanga, south of Napier, give this impressive Syrah its bold and powerful with aromas of ripe blueberries, licorice and black pepper. It’s a velvety, smooth, silky and full bodied Syrah now and will age superbly for up to 10 years, potentially even longer.

Pinot Gris, Viognier and Gewurztraminer join forces in this quirky white blend from a great Hawke’s Bay winery. These grapes are an aromatic bunch and when fermented dry offer a lush body and crisp long fresh finish.

Exceptional fruit purity, concentration and complexity are the hallmarks of this wine. The result is a concentrated, rich Chardonnay with good length, weight and texture showing nutty and citrus characters.

Marlborough PInot Noir from certified organic, hand picked grapes given wild yeast fermentation which results in a complex, smooth and savoury tinged wine with impressively smooth mouthfeel and a long finish. The wine aged for 18 months in French oak, 30% new, This wine is complex when youthful but also has great aging potential of up to 10 years, potentially longer. Escarpment Pinot Noir highlights Martinborough's unique terroir and winemaking philosophy, soundly revealed in this blend of Pinot Noir parcels from across this beautifully well-suited cool climate district.

The 2022 Escarpment Martinborough Pinot Noir is an assemblage of the best Pinot Noir vineyards across the district, with 75% of the grapes from the Te Muna Road sub region. The fruit was hand harvested and crushed to open top fermenters, with minimal intervention until it was pressed. Plunged just once a day for gentle extraction and then left to macerate on skins for an average vat time of 25 days. It has been aged in French oak barriques (27% new) for 11 months followed by a further 9 months in stainless steel tanks before bottling without fining or filtration.

Ethereal aromas of exotic spice and sandalwood set the mood for this luscious aromatic wine. The flavours of rosewater, ginger and marzipan are opulent and rich. This unctuous, full bodied Gewürztraminer finishes with a powerful but elegant finish.

Showing a gentle blush of colour, this Rose is both charming and pretty, yet still offers great structure and drive. With initial hints of watermelon and pink rosebud florals the nose then opens to reveal wild strawberries and cream. Plush, smooth and full of ripe red plum flavours, this wine is made with grapes grown a vineyard formed on the ancient riverbed of a river that once carried rock from the steep Ruahine ranges and deposited masses of free-draining gravel which is locally known as red metal. This is a plush wine from a very good vintage and punches well above its weight. Juicy ripe berry flavours from the Merlot are balanced by grunty darker earthy elements from the Franc.

Pale pink, classic Pinot Noir rose colour. Lifted floral nose of rosewater and strawberry. The palate mixes crunchy red delicious apple, ripe raspberry and cream before finishing dry. Limited supply, will sell out fast. 

This is a richly textured and dry Pinot Gris. Aromas of pear and white peach are complemented by a subtle herbal character. Light, balanced acidity on the palate leads to a fresh, mineral finish.
