Brave Brewing - World famous in Hastings.  Bottle rocket, or 'EPA' as it's known around here, is a soft, aromatic extra pale ale that celebrates the Simcoe hop and it's delicious tropical, citrusy and piney notes.  A pale ale with that little bit extra!

5.6% ABV.

This beer has been carefully crafted to keep all the flavour of a bigger beer and wrap it into a sessionable package. A combo of juicy NZ and US hop varieties sit on a full bodied hazy straw coloured base. Aromas of citrus fruits backed up by passionfruit make for a delicious juicy combo that is ideal for anytime drinking.

4.5% ABV.

This Naughty Fruity Ale was inspired by a well-known Belgian 'one-of-a-kind' speciality beer.  A sustaining drink, this complex beer will develop over time, with a further ageing in the bottle.  Our interpretation is unfiltered, unpasteurised and bottle conditioned for full flavour.  The grain bill is a balance of organic pilsner and crystal malts.  A subtle combination of hops and 'secret' fruits are combined with the native Flemish yeast strain giving a sweet bouquet and a rewarding strong drink.. Pour gently into a goblet at cellar temperature.  Enjoy in moderation, with a smile and good company.

Billycan Milk Stout pours black as night with a creamy off-white head, it boasts Tahitian vanilla & cacao nibs. Expect roast malt aroma & a luxuriant palate with delicate carbonation. Coffee & cocoa laced with vanilla & rum lead to soft liquorice notes & a full-bodied, rich, balanced bitterness for a soft, toasty finish.

When is NZ Pilsner actually a Pilsner? When it’s Sea Spray Dry-hopped Pilsner! Brewed like a proper pilsner but macrodosed (in whirlpool and dry-hopping) with Riwaka and Nelson Sauvin. This makes for a lean, crisp, lager base with big, green, dank oily notes backed with delicate passionfruit for a clean, dry smashable beer with enough bitterness to keep you coming back for more.

5.3% ABV.

Classic Lager Taste. Half the size. Meet 2.3% ABV Northern Light Vienna Lager. Crisp lager profile upfront with cracker-like aroma. It drinks smooth & hits above its weight with a surprisingly full body for such a low ABV beer. Toasty & bready malt palate hints of biscuits to a clean, dry finish with just enough bitterness to keep it refreshing.

Those in the know indulged in tipples made all the more sweet by their illicit nature, like this richly textured Prohibition Porter. Secreted in charred oak bourbon barrels it envelopes your tastebuds in chocolately brown malts before steamrollering them with a heady amalgam of oak and caramel.
