Unit price perReleased in 2013, Thorfinn is part of The Warrior Series, a collection of single malts created for Duty-Free to both introduce a key figure from Orkney’s Viking history and to demonstrate the impact of cask type on our whisky’s flavour, which is immense.
Created using a high proportion of first-fill sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, Thorfinn delivers a deep and complex array of flavours. Think fiery ginger fusing with sun-dried fruits and fistfuls of spice, all emboldened by our signature smokiness.
Distillery notes.
Thanks to the forestry commission, sawmill and cooperage in France, we use the finest virgin French oak casks to enhance our whisky.
Layers of complexity and flavour emerge from a maturation journey that begins in American White Oak ex bourbon casks before a portion of the whisky is split between six different virgin oak casks sourced from across various regions of France (Limousin, Troncais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles & Les Bertranges).
The result is a fruity and spicy whisky with flavours of crème caramel, baked peach and sweet liquorice.

Unit price perThe Signature Series is our four-part limited-edition series. It is a selection of Arran Single Malts which showcases the diversity of our spirit and embodies the values which are important to us. It features four unique bottlings specially chosen by Lochranza Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman and given his seal of approval.
With this bottling, we invite you to learn about the more heavily peated side of Arran matured in a Bourbon Barrel. The peated level of this bottling sits at 42ppm.
The Quarter Casks used in this bottling were sourced from a small distillery in Chicago – Koval - who use these custom built 115 litre casks to mature their Bourbon before they arrive with us in Lochranza.
The whisky in this bottling was originally filled into Bourbon Barrels in 2012. It was matured for nearly 5 and a half years, before being transferred into the Koval Quarter Casks in September 2018, where it spent the remaining 5 and a half years of its maturation time. We filled only a small number of these Quarter Casks and have not filled any more since. As such, they have a very rare place in our inventory.
Over the course of the secondary maturation, the intensity of the heavily peated whisky has taken on an even more complex and full-bodied character. The smaller the size of cask, the greater the surface contact area between the wood and the spirit, effectively creating an environment for ‘express’ maturation. The resulting whisky has the benefit of more intense flavours which add depth and greater nuance to the final dram. Smokier notes mingle with the well-loved charred citrus and sweet vanilla spices of Arran Single Malt, evoking a bonfire made from barrel staves.
Our Barrel Bonfire is bottled at 50% Vol, as always non-chill filtered and with no added colouring

With Signature Series Edition 3 'Duero Discovery', you'll discover the influence of an excellent quality wine cask on our Arran Single Malt. The red wine casks used in this bottling were previously used to mature wine from the wine-producing region along the Duero River, in northern Spain, before they arrived with us in Lochranza.
This rich, ruby amber coloured whisky is a Premium 12 year old unpeated example of Arran Single Malt.
The Duero Discovery was initially matured for 6 years in first and second fill bourbon barrels and then transferred into first fill Spanish red wine casks and matured in our dunnage warehouse number 4 under the watchful eye of Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman for a further 6 years.
Stewart has blended the resulting whisky from these casks at the optimal age of 12years and is proud to present an unusual maturation of Arran Single Malt bearing his signature and seal of approval.

Unit price perThe first proprietary bottling of Highland Park single malt Scotch whisky was as a 12 year old in 1979. It remains the core expression of the Highland Park range and is a smooth, balanced single malt, with a rich full flavour and a gentle smokey finish. Glowing amber in colour. Heather-honey sweetness; peaty smokiness Palate: Rounded smoky sweetness; full malt delivery. Take your time to appreciate the nose of Highland Park 12 and you'll discover the characteristic honey sweetness followed by fruit - maybe pineapple, apple or pear. On the palate it is drying and leaves a gentle smokey feeling and a flavour that just keeps on going.
Made with heavily peated barley at the Tobermory distillery, this Ledaig is a very elemental dram, with a raft of mineral and oceanic flavours and aromas. After a sweet and creamy start, Island qualities take over - evoking seaweed, lobster meat and rock pools. A mellow and complex peaty flavour remains at the heart of this dram, earthy and rich with notes of burnt rubber and smoked cheese.

Unit price perThe set up at Talisker produces a highly individual new make which mixes smoke, fruit, sulphur, salt and pepper. The malt is medium-peated, the worts clear and the fermentation long, but distillation is atypical with minimal copper contact, plenty of reflux and the use of worm tubs. The result is a heavier style of malt which lends itself nicely to a coastal influence and a smoky peat that is definitely there, but not too heavy.
Nose: A fresh and fragrant nose. Through pungent smoke comes sweet pear and apple peels, with pinches of maritime salt from kippers, seaweed.
Palate: It's a bonfire of peat crackling with black pepper, with a touch of brine and dry barley. A welcome delivery of orchard fruit provides a delicate and beautiful balance.
Finish: In a long finish, bonfire embers toast malt and crystallise a sugary underlay.

Unit price perThe Arran Single Malt selected for this cask strength expression was initially matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels for 7 years before being transferred for secondary maturation into smaller Quarter casks also made of the finest American oak for a further 2 years. The process of transferring our whisky into the smaller 125 litre sized casks for their final 2 years of maturation produces far greater contact between the whisky & oak and a faster, more intense maturation.
The end result is a full-bodied expression of Arran Single Malt combining power and finesse full of rich vanilla sweetness and bold peppery spice. Bottling at natural Cask Strength without chill-filtration or artificial colouring of any sort presents this whisky in its purest form. Small casks would have been a common feature of the Arran whisky trade in the eighteenth & nineteenth centuries as they were easier to handle and transport around the island. With our much-loved Quarter Cask expression we proudly bring this tradition back to life.
Nose - Apple tart, pineapple brioche
Palate - The citrus hallmarks of Arran welcome you, and the sweet spice of cinnamon and vanilla promises a memorable dram.
Finish - Sweetness, Honey, Pineapple, Vanilla, Coconut.

Unit price perThe Tobermory Distillery is found on the Isle of Mull on the way to Skye from Islay and the whiskies made here reflect this island location with coastal, maritime, saline hints. The distillery produces two different, but equally alluring, single malts: the fruity, non-peated Tobermory and the more robust and smoky Ledaig. This expression slumbered peacefully in American oak casks for a dozen years before being bottled at 46.3% ABV.

Unit price perThe Isle of Jura is nestled off the west coast of Scotland. It's a place rich in legend yet shrouded in mystery. A place where good fortune holds a bewitching grip over the islanders, and the three highly distinctive Paps of Jura cast a long and foreboding shadow over the landscape. It’s a magical haven where a sense of solitude is all-pervading: one road, one distillery, one community. There is no whisky and no island quite like Jura.
This 18 year old completes the all new, revamped Jura line up and has been matured in a combination of ex Bourbon and former red wine casks. Richer and fuller bodied than its siblings this expression has warming aromas of toffee, tropical fruits and cinnamon; followed by flavours of black forest fruit, dark chocolate and hints of coffee in the finish.
