Introducing Allier. A celebration of NZ single malt whisky and one of the most important French Oak forests: Allier. 

This whisky is made from unsmoked New Zealand grown malted barley and has been matured in a second fill wine cask from the Allier forest, central France. Initial grape notes from the wine have been pulled off in the first fill. What’s left, and what has been imparted is beautifully smooth, balanced, and compliments the malty NZ whisky.

The bottling is giving generous notes of pain aux raisin, dark chocolate, custard, hazelnut.

This delicious American style whisky is made from 51% corn, 21% rye and 28% Barley. Matured in our oceanside barrel house, it has a grassy, spicy tone with a distinct Rye note that balances the sweetness of the honey. Look for notes of toasted oak, spices and vanilla wrapped in the phenolic sweetness of Manuka Honey. 100% natural Manuka Honey made on Waiheke Island.

Finish Dryer than expected with phenol and pepper

Fair Light is a first-ever blend of premium unpeated single malt, with the distiller's selection of Waiheke's peated back catalogue. Fair Light is named for the first ever synthesizer. This speaks to the synthesis of the two hemispheres that went into this bottling. 

Colour Amber Light 

Nose Heather, honey, vanilla spices, gentle peat 

Palate There are hints of heather honey and vanilla, followed by subtle spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Gentle NZ peat smoke and chocolate. 

Finish Medium-long, dried fruit, chocolate.

Revelation

New Zealand Single Malt

Pokeno Revelation celebrates our unique place in the world. First we carefully select and blend parcels of stock which have been fully matured in first fill bourbon and New Zealand Red Wine casks from one of our favourite wineries. We then lay these back down in cask to allow them to marry perfectly together. It is a sweet and smooth whisky, with beautiful notes of mango, grapefruit, strawberry bonbons, lychee and sherbet, which combine for a sweet and smooth taste of summer.

Two Tone refers to the two kinds of cask used for the maturation of this whisky; European oak which formerly held New Zealand red wine and American white oak used exclusively for whisky. 

Find sea air and caramelised fruits on the nose, followed by red berries, apricot and spice on the palate. In place of an age statement the infinity symbol marking this bottling is symbolic of the marriage of casks.

Maple pear tart, sticky raisins, hazelnut, chewy nougat,  drizzled with borage flower honey.

Made from New Zealand malt, double distilled in copper  pot stills and aged for 5 years in French oak ex white wine casks, which have been shaved, toasted and re-charred, then finished in ex-bourbon barrels. Sweet and malty aromas on the nose lead to primary tastes of candied orange peel and honeycomb on the palate. The finish in American oak lends notes of almonds, clove and vanilla. This mouth coating, easy drinking whisky surprises with the bourbon creaminess giving way to a long peppery dry finish.
