The Bowmore aged 9 years has been matured in both ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks allowing the distinctive Bowmore smokiness to shine through. Released in 2016, this expression was aimed to be a limited release and now sadly is nearly disappeared for good

This expression is light and fresh with that distinctive Caol Ila smoke and notes of zesty limoncello. A perfect introduction to the joys of Islay malt and the mercurial qualities of peat smoked whisky.

A new iteration of the iconic Black Bush, 80/20 is a unique blend of Bushmills Single Malt finished in the finest hand-selected Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and Irish grain whiskey. Ageing in PX casks imparts the rich, dried fruit and caramelised raisin notes characteristic of the legendary sweet wine. Exclusive to travel retail, Black Bush is created specially for those who appreciate exceptional whiskey with a deep sherry complexity.

As an operating distillery, the production of Oban is quite limited. It only has two stills, which are among the smallest in Scotland. The standards at Oban distillery are exacting, and only the finest barley that is malted to their specifications isused. The whisky is well-rounded with distinctive maltiness and shows a misty, briny character against a background of smoke, heather and peat. The mild, temperate climate of the area, warmed by the Gulf Stream and the soft rain also contributes to its style. Oban is indeed a complete style, ideal after dinner, and covering all the bases, it provides a quintessential Scottish single malt experience!

Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd.  are very proud to be continuing and adding to the great Campbelltown Distilling tradition and the choice of name reflects that.  Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic 'Ceann Loch Cille Chaiarain' which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kieran had his religious cell and Campbeltown now stands. 

Nose: oak notes are dominant, followed by toasted marshmallows and dried fruit pudding, as well as cherries, marzipan and a hint of peat

Palate: initially fruity with citrus notes and orange peel, after this: vanilla, butterscotch,
honeycomb and digestive biscuits can all be tasted and enjoyed

Finish: velvet and smooth with lemon meringue, to conclude, there’s an oiliness and a saltiness that you’d expect from a Campbeltown dram

A brand new addition to the core Springbank distillery range, the Longrow '100 Proof' is made from a selection of refill ex-bourbon barrels that were given a final maturation in ex-red wine casks, as with the previous 'Red' series. A whafting peat smoke and medicinal character leads the nose with a sweet and tart reducrrant fruityness joining in. To taste, the smoke is softer, more earthy and musty, before vanilla custard, strawberries and marzipan add a rounded sweetness. Finishing with a lingering, maritime smoky heart.

This unique expression from Laphroaig combines the unforgettable flavour of our 10 year old whisky with the sweet, aromatic flavours from the Oloroso sherry casks.

This marriage of casks creates a rich, full bodied flavour with notes of Manuka honey, bacon and maple syrup alongside the classic smoke, seaweed and hint of salt that Laphroaig is known and loved for.

The European oak sherry casks are carefully selected to compliment the unique and much-loved taste of Laphroaig. The additional sweetness and character of the Oloroso casks add complexity and balance to create a unique and exciting expression, but one that stays true to the character of Laphroaig.

Laphroaig has fashioned this whisky using malt from a number of different types of cask, including Oloroso Sherry butts, white American oak, Pedro Ximenez seasoned hoggies, Quarter casks and first fill bourbon casks. 

This does sport the hallmark medicinal Laphroaig qualities we all love so much but it's not packing a massive peat punch and so is a great entry whisky to the joys of Islay for someone just starting the Islay journey.
