A richly aromatic expression of The Glendronach, presenting intertwined notes of peat smoke, with a dominance of Oloroso sherry casks for spiced complexity, enriched with our signature Pedro Ximénez casks.

Tasting Notes:

Colour: Smouldering amber.

Nose: Cinnamon spiced toffee, apple and caramelised walnut brittle intertwine with flamed orange on a smouldering open fire.

Palate: Raisin and honeyed walnut meld with bramble ganache and smoked chocolate fudge.

Ireland's oldest whisky, Bushmills Original Irish is a blend of triple distilled malt whiskey and a lighter grain whiskey. You'll notice it's rich, smooth warming taste almost instantly. It's an easy drinking, versatile whiskey that can be enjoyed neat, over ice or with your favourite mixer.

This Caledonia Edradour is a release specially selected by songwriter Douglas Maclean and named after his famous song, Caledonia. The cask was an Oloroso sherry cask, distilled in 1997.

Nose: Sweet, creamy and honeyed, with notes of Manuka honey, hints of dried fig and date, soft sherry and a hint of oak.

Palate: Full and rich with notes of berry fruits, and honey and butter on granary toast. More sherry, caramel and toasted almond.

Finish: Spicy, dry and sprinkled with a dusting of cocoa.

This new blend from Adelphi takes its name from long-time collaborator and whisky legend Charles Maclean (MBE), and by pure coincidence, a rocky landmark known as 'Maclean's nose' near the Ardnamurchan distillery. This is an old-fashioned style of blend - a very high proportion of single malt is used (70%) predominantly from the west coast of Scotland, giving this whisky a flavour of burnt citrus peel, sea salt toffee and bonfires by the beach.

Kilchoman - Machir Bay, named after the isle of Islay’s most spectacular beach, is a vatting of Kilchoman whisky matured in both bourbon and sherry casks. The high proportion of bourbon barrels creating a distinct balance of classic Islay character and fresh floral complexity.

Triple Wood is a continuation of Glenturret's history, part of the old range and reborn in the new. A thoughtful combination of European and American Sherry Oak casks alongside Bourbon barrels gives a light and subtle whisky showcasing the sweet, fruity style of the new make spirit. The three cask types have carefully nurtured the spirit, adding a depth of character and a rich, golden colour.

Tasting Notes:
Aged in AMERICAN and EUROPEAN SHERRY casks and BOURBON barrels, Sweet FRUIT and CARAMEL flirt with sticky GINGER cake and VANILLA, maturing OAK and light SPICES look on with interest from the side lines.

Ardbeg An Oa is singularly rounded, due in no small part to time spent in our newly established bespoke oak Gathering Vat where whiskies from several cask types - including; sweet Pedro Ximenez; spicy virgin charred oak; and intense ex-bourbon casks, amongst others - familiarise themselves with each other. The result is a dram with smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness. Hallmark Ardbeg peat, dark chocolate and aniseed are wrapped in smooth, silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove, before rising to an intense crescendo of flavour.

Non chill-filtered with a strength of 46.6% ABV.

At just 5 years old, this feisty and intensely powerful smoky whisky, is untamed by age.

From elusive sea creatures to eerie hillside half-breeds, the Ardbeg Distillery has a history of exploring inexplicable legends in their bottlings. However, this next unearthly expression is said to have emerged from the peat bogs of Islay themselves. Ardbeg Wee Beastie has been described as a ‘monster of a dram’… with a formidable bite. 

Matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, Wee Beastie bristles with intense aromas of cracked black pepper, sappy pine resin and sharp tangs of smoke. An explosive mouthfeel bursts forth with chocolate, creosote and tar. As savoury meats sink into the palate, the long salty mouth coating finish slinks away.

Aroma: Very fresh, herbal, with hints of vanilla, pear, freshly cracked black pepper and
honey-glazed ham. Rich Turkish coffee, sappy pine resin. With water, more herbal notes like vetiver and fennel, along with aniseed, green apple and leather.

Taste: A rich, explosive mouthfeel with lots of chocolate, tar, creosote and smoked bacon,
followed by a burst of antiseptic lozenges, eucalyptus and more aniseed.

Finish: A long, salty and mouthcoating finish with hints of cocoa, fudge and savoury meats.

Casks: Ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry

Double distilled in copper pot stills in February 2020, this fascinating and delicious expression has been created by Patrick our head distiller following on from the international success of Peat and Port we are proud to release, Peat + Muscat.

Tasting Note: Our Single Malt Whisky is crafted to highlight six malts, as opposed to the traditional one or two, providing a richer and more expressive flavour, full of distinct regional character. Matured predominantly in toasted and charred Australian apera casks, ex-bourbon and our own 36-month air-dried ex-rye casks this whisky reveals fresh herbs, shortbread biscuits, raisins, toffee and dark chocolate on the nose with a luscious palate of sticky date pudding, amaretto and espresso.

The Quiet Man Single Malt 8-Year-Old Irish Whiskey is a 40% ABV, 750ml single malt aged in first-fill bourbon casks. Named after founder Ciaran Mulgrew's bartender father John, it delivers sweet and fruity notes of vanilla, honey, apricot, and oak.

For all the sherry fans out there we have this 1988 Vintage Auchentoshan. We all know that Auchentoshan are masters at fully triple distilling their whisky but they also mastered the art of sherry maturation here with this expression.

This limited edition Auchentoshan was distilled in 1988 and matured in Spanish oak casks and finished in PX sherry casks.

It was bottled some 29 years later in 2019 at 49.7%.
The resulting whisky has picked up the characteristics so well from the casks used and it is full of rich, sweet butterscotch and caramel flavours.
