Polished copper colour. Orange cake, juicy malt then fruit mince pie and gobstopper. Aeration adds oatmeal biscuit to the aroma list. Almost chewy in texture - a sublime harmony of honeyed malt and light Christmas pudding at mid palate; then buttered raisin bread, followed by hints of caramel fudge and grassy freshness late in the fade. Woody to end, though still good vibrancy. Distinguished by its subtle staying power.
A Speyside single malt from the Balmenach distillery bottled by the independent bottler Hart Brothers. It was bottled in October 2021 at a natural cask strength of 58,8% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release.
Oranges, sour candy and black fruit like brambles on the nose give way to a palate that is warming and creamy with mocha notes, nuts and light port aromas.
Owned by a family of whisky lovers, Benromach is a traditional Speyside distillery keeping things simple. Their small team of distillers rely entirely on their sense and expertise to create the finest handmade whisky.Beginning in 2006, Benromach Contrasts: Organic Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the world's since organic single malt whisky. This whisky is matured in virgin American oak casks to provide sweet, malty notes of creamy pepper, coffee, cocoa, and banana flavours.
A sumptuous malt whisky blend, showcasing whiskies aged in Spanish wine casks. The name is a nod to our founders chance encounter with a man in the South of Spain, where he was introduced to Sherry for the first time. Years later, John was reacquainted with Sherry through whiskies aged in former Sherry casks, known for the rich, deep flavours they provide. It's a style of whisky John has been drawn to ever since.
This whisky, like all vatted malts, is made by marrying 100% single malt whiskies from different distilleries. Compass Box Peat Monster includes in its blend single malts from lead distilleries Ardmore and Caol ila. Both components are aged between 10 to 15 years. Pale golden color. Sweet clover honey, heather, and peat aromas. A soft, yet rich, entry leads to a sweetish medium-full body with caramel, orange peel, raw honey, toast, vibrant peat and pepper flavors. Finishes with a honeycomb, iodine, and toasty grain fade. Very drinkable, exquisitely balanced, and approachable with vibrant, but (despite the name) not dominant peatiness.

This expression offers an irresistible doubling of flavour due to the double maturation in two casks made of American oak.
Still-maturing whisky from our standard ex-bourbon barrels is transferred to quarter casks and left to rest in our warehouse just a stone?s throw from the Atlantic shore.
This process represents Laphroaig breathing new life into a once-defunct tradition: the use of the smaller cask size, which ensures increased contact with the oak, creating a soft and velvety edge to complement Laphroaig?s distinctive peatiness.
On the nose the sensation is toffee and caramel, caused by the vanillas and tannins of the American oak, plus a dryness from the wood oil.
The finish is long and alternates between this sweetness and smoke.

Unit price perThis bottling has been matured in re-charred Bourbon barrels and is light and fruity through and through. The nose is vibrant and refreshing with notes of zesty citrus, moving to sweet raisins covered in chocolate. The sweetness piles on the palate with creamy vanilla custard and marzipan. Finally, delicate creme brulee light pear drops and lemon fondant send this lovely light dram on its way.

Distilled on 4th October 1984, this version will blow you away with its complexity, presence and generosity. The breadth and depth of this Glenlossie's palette of aromas and flavours are quite simply extraordinary.
The concentrated initial nose is roasted (coffee), fruity (black grape) and chocolate. Initially mineral, it gradually becomes medicinal (camphor). The elegant attack pays tribute to malted barley. The mid-palate is a real sweet treat (strawberry cream cake). The silky finish wavers between aromatic plants and autumn shades (chestnut). The retronasal olfaction is mentholated .
