Supple, succulent and incredibly drinkable. This is a classic blend of southern French grape varieties, modelled on a Cotes du Rhone blend with Cinsault in the lead, contributing 54% towards this juicy red, supported by Shiraz and Grenache. 

Winemaker A A Badenhorst suggests that the Cinsault component will provide the structure for excellent ageing and enough suppleness for drinking young. Aromas here are perfumed, peppery, spicy and exhibit ripe red fruit flavours.

Kozaemon Tokubetsu Junmai Shinano-Miyamanishiki is the most popular product and the most widely distributed. The raw material of Miyamanishiki rice is grown by commissioned farmers in the villages at the foot of Komagatake in Nagano Prefecture. It features a faint aroma reminiscent of green apples and a crisp taste. The dry aftertaste makes this sake easy to drink for many people and it goes well with any dish with a range of serving temperatures. When served chilled, it can accompany simple and light dishes. When warmed, it is perfect with meat dishes and Chinese cuisine. 

Japanese Name: ??  ???? 

One of the oldest breweries in Japan, Ozeki was founded in 1711 at Imazu village, located in the Nada region of Hyogo Prefecture, a region famous for sake production all around Japan. In the past, Ozeki was the title awarded to the grand champion sumo wrestler. Ozeki chose this name to use the sumo world as publicity, but this also motivated the brewery to do a good job making sake.

Ozeki Kinkan is an extremely versatile sake, and can be enjoyed at any temperature. It is well-balanced with sweetness and dryness, and can be paired with a wide variety of cuisines.

Tasting Note: Made with Iwai rice, a variety of sake brewing rice suited grown only in Kyoto Prefecture, the pristine water of Fushimi, and of course Gekkeikan?s skill and dedication to perfection, this sake is as Kyoto as they come, making it worthy of being the sake of Japan?s ancient capital city. A delicate fruity aroma and clean palate characterize this light and refined Tokubetsu Junmai sake.

The Amedee cuvée by Philippe Brisebarre is a dry Vouvray vinified and aged in 500 litre barrels. It reveals subtle aromas of white-fleshed fruits, accompanied by gentle vanilla notes. On the palate, this wine offers a beautiful liveliness and great aromatic complexity, harmoniously combining the flavours of ripe fruits, honey, and gentle spices. 

Domaine Paul et Marie Jacqueson is a family-run estate in Rully, Burgundy, known for producing elegant and balanced wines. Established in the 1940s, the domaine focuses on sustainable practices and meticulous vineyard care.

The Rully vineyards benefit from limestone and clay soils, ideal for Chardonnay. The vines, around 30 years old, bring depth and complexity to the wine.

The Rully Blanc offers aromas of ripe pear, white peach, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it's vibrant and fresh, with citrus, stone fruits, and a creamy texture, finishing with mineral-driven precision. Elegant and refined.

Domaine Charles Audoin, based in Marsannay-la-Cote in Burgundy, has been a family-run estate since its establishment in the early 20th century. Under the leadership of Charles Audoin and later his son Cyril, the domaine has expanded to approximately 14 hectares across the Marsannay appellation. They are pioneers in promoting the quality of Marsannay, which is known for producing excellent red, white, and rosé wines.

The terroir of Marsannay, located at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits, is diverse, comprising predominantly limestone and clay soils. The vineyards used for ‘Cuvée Charlie’ are from some of the domaine's prime sites, with vines aged around 40 to 60 years. This maturity of the vines brings depth and concentration to the wine. The soils, rich in limestone, contribute to the wine’s minerality and elegance, while the clay content enhances its body and structure.

80 % Grenache and 20% Syrah. Nice freshness in the nose with herbal and wild blackberry notes. The palate is fruity and spicy with wild raspberry, rosemary and thyme notes. This is a balanced, well-structured and mineral Rhone red.

Site : On the Mont Battois hillside, facing Beaune, the name "Grèves" derives from the sandy and gravely soil. Separated from the Clos des Fèves by a narrow path this Chanson vineyard covers 2 hectares

The Vintage 2022 : After a winter characterized by marked variations in temperature between January and February, spring started with mild temperatures. A sequence of cold weather in April was followed by warm temperatures in May but the lack of water was very noticeable and could not be compensated by the rainy storms of June. Summer was marked by several and long heat waves and the storms of the end of August were most welcome. The harvest at Chanson started on August 30 with a team of 100 persons and ended on September 13. 2022 vintage was quite generous both in volume and quality and the red wines are generous and well-balanced with an outstanding crunchy fruit.

Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Fragrances of peony mixed with intense aromas of ripe red berries (strawberry, cherry) mixed with coffee and spicy notes. Delicate vanilla. Well-balanced and complex. Food pairing : It is perfectly matched with red meat grilled or en sauce, and all cheeses, especially the local cheeses like Epoisses or Citeaux.

Tasting Note: Gensen means 'specially selected' and Karakichi means 'dry'. It is an every day drinking style of sake. It is quite fruity on the nose. The palate has tight structure with hints of citrus and a savory aspect, finishing long and dry. When chilled, anything light and delicate such as sashimi, sushi and salsad. When warm, chawanamushi, oden hot pot.

Wow we don't see a lot of Semillon from Argentina but it is actually one of Argentina's oldest planted varieties. This rare barrel-fermented expression is harvested from 80 year-old vines and has fresh, clean citrus aromas with a hint of oak. Flavours of citrus, tropical fruit, coconut and caramel follow through on the palate

The 2022 Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru has more mineralité on the nose than some of its peers: crushed limestone filtering through the malic scents and a slight algae-like aroma. The palate is well-balanced with a keen thread of acidity, seductive orange pith and citrus notes. The 2022 has a composed and harmonious finish. This is a well-made and delicious Vaillons.

A rich and complete Premier Cru Pinot Noir from Volnay in Burgundy. Clos de la Barre is a Monopole (i.e. exclusively owned by Jadot). Grown in a real clos that is surrounded by high stone walls, it produces a more assertive wine than other Volnays, with ethereal spice and mineral tannins detailed amongst slightly richer, riper fruit. With serious character, this powerful and structured wine is built to improve with age. This is a superb offering from Louis Jadot.

The Pouilly-Fuissé is a blend of the best vineyard parcels with 10- to 35-year-old vines from the Fuissé amphitheatre of limestone and clay soils. Each parcel is vinified separately to ensure the finest expression of the fruit. Half the wine is fermented in enamelled tanks and half in used oak barrels.

Subtle notes include minerals, yellow fruits, flowers, fresh hazelnuts and spices, with an intense finish. The perfect equilibrium of this wine allows it to retain its vibrancy with age.
