This is an excellent example of a great white to drink with seafood, fresh or dried. 

About Alvarinho

The hallmark of Alvarinho is its high acidity, which provides this wine with its innate and deliciously succulent freshness - something this tasty little white has in spades. It's medium bodied and totally dry with great character. Portuguese wines are on trend globally, thanks to the discovery of the country's vast range of interesting indigenous grape varieties, mostly red but with increasing volumes of great whites too, such as this wine, which is produced by Casa Santos Lima. Syrah is usually regarded as a French grape but it has found a remarkably delicious home in southern Portugal's Alentejo region where its thick skins and ripe black fruit flavours have clearly ripened incredibly well. This deeply coloured, full bodied, intensely flavoursome dry red is made from 100% Syrah and has great aging potential. 

It also drinks exceptionally well right now. Decant and sip in a large glass. Or stash a few bottles in your wine collection and leave them for eight to nine years. 

New wave Spanish red blend of 60% Tempranillo, 26% Garnacha, 12% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, all lending this wine its deep ruby colour, full body and ripe dark fruit flavours of blackberries, blackcurrant notes and powerful plum flavours, supported by complex notes of oak, spicy aromas and a hint of cedar.

If you like warm southern French reds, you will love Mullineux's Kloof Street Rouge, which pays homage to Mediterranean style red blends based on Syrah with other classic southern Rhône red grape varieties jostling for character and adding complexity to this super smooth wine. The grapes are sourced from vineyards on the different soils in various parts of the Swartland.

This seductive blend of Southern Rhône varieties has a perfumed nose of violets, spice and purple fruit. The medium to full bodied, food-friendly palate is finely textured with firm but approachable tannins and a fresh, lingering finish. Best served at 16 to 18 °C

Ozu Chardonnay (D.O. Navarra) is 100% Chardonnay and spends three months on its lees prior to bottling. No oak is used and the wine is clean, bright and mineral with a floral and citrus nose.

Pairs well with seafood, grilled and baked fish, white meats, light pasta dishes and sheep's cheeses.

Alcohol fermented and distilled from 100% natural crops with spring water makes the taste is pure and clean.. The Unique quality comes from bamboo charcoal filter process that ensures purity and clarity

This pomegranate flavored soju is very fruity and smooth. It's a little sweeter and not as harsh as regular soju,

Acustic is an old vines blend of Carignan and Garnatxa from the Montsant region in Spain. This is a somewhat Rhone-like wine with red fruit flavours complemented by balanced spice and herbal notes. This expressive wine is bottled without fining or filtration.

This sake delivers a delightful dash of citrus with its 10% yuzu juice. The yuzu’s enlivening aroma and vibrant acidity bring a pleasant citrus kick without any bitterness. This is done through a combination of straining to remove the bitter oil from the yuzu, and a low-temperature pasteurization method usually used for high-end sake. Tsukasabotan “Yuzu” makes for a delicious aperitif and pairs with dishes containing squeezed citrus fruit.

Grapes: 70% Garnacha, 20% Syrah 10% Cariñena

Winemaker Notes

Forest floor aromas, fruit and minerality are a welcome sign we are in the south of Priorat. Sensations which make us re-live a springtime stroll through Mediterranean woodland. Intense and fresh, balanced with some silkiness which is characteristic of Mas d’en Gil wines.

This wine works well with meat-based dishes: grilled lamb with Mediterranean herbs or grilled Iberian pork dishes, red meat such as Galician Rossa beef (Rossa Gallega). It also goes well with fatty fish such as grilled tuna or with rice and risotto dishes.

A complex wine with red fruit flavours. Big, elegant and ripe tannin structures. Will over time show more secondary and forest floor characteristics.

Al Muvedre is a varietal Monastrell from Alicante created by Telmo Rodríguez.

The grapes come from old vines in vineyards located in the town of Monóvar in the province of Alicante. The harvest, done by hand, is performed in late October, and goes through a process of fermentation in stainless steel and concrete. The wine is full of purple fruit, black olive tapenade and spice, a rustic, exciting expression of Monastrell.

A very Mineral expression of two grapes from the upper Duoro Valley: 

Rabogato a local variety, meaning cats tail, comprising nearly 80% of the wine offers an enticing bouquet of citrus, acacia, stone fruit, and minerals, with a salt-licked finish.

& Viosinho another local variety which tastes somewhere between Chenin Blanc & Gruner Veltliner. The golden apple, greengage plum & Beeswax from Chenin meets the white pepper finish of Gruner.

20% of this wine is fermented in Barrel & the rest in stainless steel gives this wine texture as well as fresh acidity & great minerality.

"Once upon a time, a bee (or two) went from the flowers of a Cabernet Franc vine to the flowers of a Sauvignon Blanc vine, and a seedling child began to ripen inside the mother grapes. Then came war, and the vineyard was abandoned. Years later, the vintner returned to his land and found a new vine. He tasted the grapes and fell in love. It was Cabernet Sauvignon. Our allegory of the vines as animals gives a whimsical rendering of the story. The fox - Cabernet Franc - has attributes of Cardinal Richelieu, the first famous lover of the said grape. The siren - part woman, part bird - represents Sauvignon Blanc in all her savage glory. On the right, their
child - Cabernet Sauvignon- is depicted as a world traveller, adventuring from the French Pyrenees to the Catena Zapata pyramid, at the foothills of the Andes, in Argentina."

2.5 bar in the name of this wine refers to the pressure, which is half of the pressure in bottle fermented sparkling wines, giving this cheeky little quaffer a superb yet subtle spritz. Sun ripened strawberries on the nose lead to a feather light palate with similar red berry flavours. Ethereal and bubbly!
