White haven Pinot Gris is a versatile dry style with flavours of fresh nashi pears and crisp red apples, a medium body and textural finish. It's a great wine for everyday drinking with or without food, a lovely aperitif style to enjoy at lunch and early evening.

Whitehaven Wines began life in 1994 as a romantic business for a couple of corporate escapees, Sue and Greg White, who had given up life in the rat race of Auckland for another kind of life aboard their yacht. When sailing around the country, they took shelter in the Marlborough Sounds from Pacific storms and fell in love with the region. An easy thing to do when harbouring in the spectacularly pristine waters of the Sounds. They decided to settle there on terra firma once more and try their hands at wine production, hiring a winemaker and beginning a business which has now been around for 26 years. Greg has sadly passed away now, leaving a legacy as well as his wife and daughter, Sam, to run the winery.

Their winemaker is Peter Jackson.

Passage Rock Syrah is made from grapes sourced from Waiheke Island's oldest vines. It has a rich bouquet of black currant, dark plums, blackberry and peppery spices, with core fruit flavours that reflect the bouquet. The palate is textural and perfectly balanced. Enjoy over the next five to 10 years

Drinking like a tropical fruit smoothie on clouds of oats and wheat, this beer is bursting with juicy aromatics of white wine, crushed gooseberries, passionfruit and peach aromatics from the fresh-picked Nelson Sauvin hops. Fresh Hop season happens only once each year, so we went all out on this dreamy hazy double IPA - to the stars and back bb!

This collision of a strong, clean Imperial Pilsner with generous fresh Riwaka is no accident. Bone Shaker gives you that crisp hit of a great Pils but then follows through with a robust hop profile, adding fruit and floral characters that go well beyond mere texture. Imperial-level strength helps push the hops and the firm, dry bitterness over the top. You might even lose your head over it.

Nothing lures you in like a great Fresh Hop IPA. In the glass you can contemplate it's clear orange hue, the tell-tale of a medium malt body. After a sniff and a sip you'll be hit with fresh Nelson Sauvin, floral and fruity with a bit of dank for added excitement. Finish your mouthful by adding a firm, dry bitterness to your beer nerd notes. Go on, sink your teeth into it.

This Grenache dominant blend comes from certified organic vineyards in the southern Rhone. This wine offers excellent ripe red fruit notes and great structure. The palate is spiced, complex and rich. Charbonniere Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2016 is fresh enough for drinking young, yet promises to age gracefully.

Bodegas Roda is completely new to New Zealand this year, 2023, and is also a fabulously modern expression of traditional Spanish grape varieties which express themselves in bold red fruit flavours here with the support structure of firm smooth tannins, spicy complex aromas and depth. The blend is 94% Tempranillo,  4% Garnacha and 2% Graciano, all grown on bush vines between 15 to 30 years of age.
Fermentation and ageing was in large French oak vats for 12 months. Stabilisation was natural with egg white used for fining. 

This is a great wine from relatively youthful vines in Spanish terms. It drinks well now and has fabulous structure to age further.

All the grapes from this wine are from our Dry River Estate vineyard, with the majority from our first planted vines in 1979. These are dry-grown vines yielding very small bunches and berries. The idea is for this wine to transcend varietal archetype, where the wine is the wine, standing outside its category.
We want to bring you a distinctive Dry River expression of Pinot Gris. The wine is perfect to enjoy young with food, but will further improve over the next five years.
Wet stone, mineral notes and riper characters of kiwi fruit, pears and stone fruit greet the nose. Further complexity is driven by long maturation on lees in old oak barrels, bringing out cashew nuts and a touch of cream and vanilla. The palate is seamless with transparent tannins and densely-packed fruit that brings the focus to middle and finishes effortlessly.

2024 - Bright and fragrant, this Pinot Gris opens with vibrant notes of orange zest, warm apricot, and a whisper of ginger, layered with delicate green melon and soft pear. A subtle floral lift, reminiscent of wildflowers, enhances the bouquet. On the
palate, rich, pastry-like phenolics create depth and texture, evoking the comforting warmth of a crackling fire. A touch of residual sugar lends a silk-like smoothness, while hints of popcorn and brown sugar add contrast and structure to its opulent breadth. The finish is indulgent and lingering, leaving an irresistible, moreish allure.

Botanical notes, blood, umami, and hints of brown sugar and bran. With time, the young oak will integrate seamlessly, unveiling layers of cedar-like Canadian maple, savory tobacco, walnut oil, and sage leaf. A spice box of depth and complexity
awaits, echoing the essence of our earlier wines. The texture recalls our clay soils; while the minerality from stones may be subtle, it frames the wine’s length and serves as the skeleton beneath the fruit. There’s a grunt of dehydrated zest and a
flourish of blossom flowers. Picture it in shades of blue rather than red—absolutely gorgeous.

Chenin Blanc is the most popular grape in South Africa and it classically over delivers with great freshness and depth of flavour. Its naturally high acidity is softened in this wine with a rounded textural mouthfeel, citrus characters marrying harmoniously with ripe pears and stony, complex aromas that add interest.

Mullineux was established in 2007, when Chris and Andrea Mullineux settled in the Swartland wine region, 60 kilometers north of Cape Town. Within a very short time the winery established itself as one of South Africa?s most celebrated wine brands, both locally and on the international front.

This is a limited-edition Ardnamurchan from indie bottler Adelphi, matured in a pair of sherry casks for five years that were hand selected by Charles MacLean and Alex Bruce (hence the M&B). Grüner Veltliner is Austria's indigenous claim to white wine fame and is a grape not only best known from that country but also rarely grown elsewhere. This dry full bodied white is made 100% from Gruner grapes grown in Kamptal, Austria.

It has flavours of citrus and green apples and stonefruit and high acidity provides freshness and a lingering finish. A deliciously different dry white.
