Unit price perA good watchdog is the perfect companion, a relaxed and friendly presence but always alert and attentive. It’s a rare mix of traits but our brewers have taught a similar trick to this Watchdog, a refreshingly non-alcoholic IPA, with a pale malt backbone and lively hop flavours of citrus and stonefruit, but no bite.

Unit price perWild berries and ripe plums combine with complex spicy notes in this super affordable Malbec from the Pays D'Oc in the south of France. Malbec is scarce in the Languedoc region and this wine is made from 30 year old vines, which come from four different vineyards. The vineyards are on the slopes of the Orb Valley for complexity and richness, the foot of Montagne d’Alaric, northern Corbières, lends roundness and complexity and central Corbières for complexity and spice.

This new expression from Kilchoman has seen their spirit fully matured in ex-Cognac casks from Tonellerie Bossuet (France).
These casks impart a herbaceous, sweet and spicy character that balances against the robust peat smoke character of the whisky. The palate carries a toasted oakyness, with lush fruit laced with crystalised ginger warmth.
A tang of citrus oil lifts through the smoke and sweet wood in the finish.

Unit price perChâteau du Cèdre is a wine estate in Cahors, France, founded in the 1950s by Belgian immigrant Léon Verhaeghe. The estate is known for its handmade, organic wines, which are made predominantly with Malbec grapes plus a smattering of Merlot and Tannat.
This wine is made with 95% Malbec and 5% Merlot and spends twelve months in oak foudres. The vines are over 30 year old from sites on Les coteaux de Bru and the resulting wine is rich and full bodied with great fruit, fine tannins and fresh acidity.

Vineyard Sites
We have planted our Arneis on a stony section of the Gibson’s Creek vineyard, right in the centre of the Wairau river valley – classic free draining silty, stony terroir hoping to give the wine its signature “wet stone” minerality. The variety is moderately vigorous and needs careful tending, crop thinning, leaf pluck and trimming to maintain vine balance.
Vinification
The grapes were machine harvested in the cool of the morning, cold settled and cool fermented in stainless steel tanks prior to blending and finishing for bottling in spring.
