Unit price perThe legend begins here. In 1880 Speight’s enters it’s flagship ale into the Melbourne Exhibition. It cleans up, winning 2 gold medals and gets a new name; Gold Medal Ale is born.
Speight’s is the beer of choice after a hard day’s work. Probably the least sweet of all New Zealand beers, this characteristic allows the full flavour of the malt and hops to shine through. Speight’s Gold Medal Ale is a great accompaniment to any meat dish and is superb with Southern game dishes such as venison, duck and rabbit.

Unit price perBeautiful Chardonnay with full bodied, creamy smooth flavours from the Kiwi king of Chardonnay, Tony Bish, of the Urban Winery in Hawke's Bay. This beauty is made from 100% Mendoza clone Chardonnay grapes grown in two areas in Hawke's Bay; the Upper Dartmoor and Bay View. All of the grapes were hand harvested and 95% fermented in barrel with 5% in Tony's new French oak ovum. The wine was then matured for a year in 25% new Taransaud oak with regular lees stirring (aka batonnage) to enhance the creamy expression of barrel maturation.
This wine is one of only two in New Zealand to make it onto the 2020 Top 100 Wine Discoveries by leading wine authority Robert Parker.

Unit price perHere's a surprising fact - nearly one third of Germany's vineyards are planted in red grapes – but until quite recently most of these wines were made specifically with the country's own tastes in mind.
Now there is a generation of winemakers producing riper, fuller bodied Pinot Noirs made in a modern style - and one which takes both Burgundy and New Zealand Pinot Noir styles into account. Winemaker Gerd Stepp is at the forefront of this cultural change and this fabulous Pinot Noir illustrates this in this savoury, smooth and finely tuned Pinot Noir, which tastes like the ultimate match with roast duck or aubergine and then again, is equally beautiful on its own.
This is a thought provoking Pinot Noir which offers exceptional value for money.
