Unit price perThis lovely creamy Chablis village wine is a perfect introduction to the minerality of the Chablis AOC, the northernmost outpost of the Burgundy region in north east France. In its youth, this wine is generous and lively, with notes of lemon, oyster shell and flint. After 10 years or more, the aromas become far more powerful, with notes of gun-flint and undergrowth. In the great vintages, it can be kept for more than 20 years.
It's a great food match with cheese puff pastries and any type of seafood.

Unit price per100% Malbec grown on shallow, alluvial, loam and clay-loam soils on sites that are over a 1000 metres above sea level in Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina.
This is all about juicy Argentine Malbec fruit that we all love so much and seems a given from this part of the world. Handpicked grapes are macerated for 10-15 days and then fermented cool prior to ageing in stainless steel and 15% French oak barriques for eight months.

Unit price perArgentina does Malbec better than anyone on a mass scale, much of it due to the plentiful vineyards planted at altitude in the foothills of the Andes Mountains where sunshine enhances ripening and cool night temperatures elongate the ripening season to accentuate much needed acidity in this grape. These factors combine to provide growing conditions that are unmatched anywhere else in the world that Malbec is planted on a large scale. Wines like this one are testament to the dense fruit character, spicy notes and complexity of good Malbec, often at a relatively modest price.
We love this wine and it also carries organic certification, another thing the dry climate in Argentina allows for with relative ease, but that's another story.
If you love big reds, try this one out for size.

Winemaker Corey Ryan named Marschall Shiraz in homage of the late David Marschall, a martial artist , actor and demolition expert, whose legacy lives on through his vineyards in Barossa Valley's Tanunda and Ebenezer districts. And grapes from those two areas make up the backbone of this deeply fruity, dry, full bodied Shiraz, which is one of the outstanding reds in the Sons of Eden range. A great wine from a great new-ish brand, which highlights the potential of the world's most famous Shiraz region.

For this, "The Botanist", small-batch, artisanal Islay gin we use nine of the classic gin aromatics; orris root, cassia bark, coriander seed, etc and augment these with a heady harvest of 22 wild, native island botanicals, hand-picked by our expert foraging team from the windswept hills, peat bogs and Atlantic shores of this Hebridean island of Islay.
This truly seasonal and exotic cocktail is then slow "simmer" distilled in our unique and cherished Lomond pot-still, "ugly betty". Betty prefers to work at low-pressure and won't be rushed.
So our precious botanicals are slowly and gently coaxed into releasing their complex, signature aromatics. This was a unique project for our head distiller, Jim McEwan. Jim says he had to "learn a new dance" with Betty, and none of us knew what to expect from that first, achingly-slow 17 hour distillation. The result: a highly distinctive, complex, floral gin with outstanding finish and impeccable provenance.
In an age of re-badged industrial gins, the Botanist stands out as a truly artisanal, small-batch, hand-crafted labor of love and distiller's art. A breath of botanical Islay in every glass.
