Framboise Oud Beersel harmonizes the authentic taste of Oude Lambiek and the fruity flavour of ripe raspberries.

A delicate balance of soft lambic and real raspberries provides a smooth natural beer.
The use of real raspberries and lambic matured in wooden barrels results in an exceptionally subtle and refreshing beer.

This whisky was distilled in 1989, and spent 30 years in a bourbon barrel (DL13917)before being bottled in April 2020. Just 280 cask strength bottles were released for the Xtra Old Particular series at 52.8% ABV.

Nose: Rich, darkly malted, intriguingly spiced and fruity.

Palate: Warming and ginger spiced as the big palate opens showing later Muscovado sugar and the gentlest oak - all running to a stewed fruit and vanilla custard finish.

An exceptional 30 year old scotch whisky; matured in our finest American Oak barrels and finished in Olorosso sherry, adding a layer of complexity to the finished product.

Vinification+ maturation:   After light crush and destemming, 1 night maceration then fermentation in  stainless steel tanks. After fermentation finished, 10 months aging in 5 hl oak barrels on fine lees.

Tasting notes:   Floral aromas explodes as wine gets into glass. Oak fermentation and aging promises a complex, vigorous, exciting wine. Concentrated, deep and mineral at once, a great gun amongst white wines. The elegancy and richness shows how excellent a white wine can be amongst the reds in Villany wine region.

You could say this is the ultimate insider's wine. It's a new brand made by highly experienced Marlborough winemaker William Hoare, who was the original winemaker and then GM at Fromm. Novum is his new brand. It is named after the Roman word 'novum', meaning new. The grapes are from Dog Point's Settlement Vineyard, which is certified organic. It's tight, youthful, medium bodied, silky in texture and will age superbly.
