This dark beer has been brewed with careful attention in accordance with our age old brewing tradition. It is a flavourful beer, tasting slightly bitter-sweet.

Oude Gueuze (ABV 6%) from traditional lambic producer Hanssens Artisanaal is a Gueuze Lambic that pours hazy orange-gold with an off white head.

Lambics of several vintages are blended, then receive a secondary fermentation in the bottle, which is cellared for a minimum of six months.

The strong, tart, funky aroma contains notes of earthy wood, cut hay, lemon, sour apple and vanilla. The taste is assertively, intensely tart, with flavors of rhubarb and citrus augmented by earthy, nutty notes. Crisp, refreshing and bracing, with relative dryness and high carbonation, this is a great example of the Belgian Gueuze.

Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste pallet of the gamma Carolus-beers. Four types of hops are used, fractioned at several times in the cooking process in order to keep a maximum of aroma. Regarding to taste we can say that the beer has a gentle, but nevertheless bitter aftertaste. Gold-yellow colour. Hoppy aroma.

Rodenbach Fruitage is a blend of aged ale, young ale and 9% red fruit, which gives it its sweet-sourness and fruity notes. Pure refreshment.

Kapittel Blond is a mild blond high-fermentation beer with secondary fermentation in the bottle. It has a slightly sweet and sour attack, with a mildly fruity palate and hints of citrus and orange. The light finish, combined with the tingle of the carbonation, combines to create a balanced thirst-quenching and refreshing ale.

Full body - staying head - amber color with a spicy, malty palate that finishes very fruity with complex hoppy undertones.  

2015 update: according to the brewer’s website, this is the same beer as St. Stefanus Grand Cru.

DATED STOCK: This beer is past date or nearing the best before date. The beer will still taste good but not quite so good as when it was first brewed.

Westmalle Tripel is a clear, golden yellow Trappist beer that undergoes a secondary fermentation in the bottle (9,5% alcohol). It is a complex beer with a fruity aroma and a nice nuanced hop scent. It is soft and creamy in the mouth, with a bitter touch carried by the fruity aroma. An exceptional beer, with a great deal of finesse and elegance. And with a splendid long aftertaste.

A golden peach lambic with a sparkling appearance and fruity taste. Taste: Golden in colour; with a nose that fills the room with fresh peaches. Sparkling, crisp and refreshing balance of fruit and acid.

Tasting Notes

A hazy yellow pour, is topped with a frothy eggshell cap that leaves nice lace. Full on fresh peach aroma, some yeast, tart citrus, smells inviting. Tastes sweet and tart. Lots of peach of course with a tart citric component that balances the sweetness. A bit of hops lead to a grassy finish. Very peachy and not overly complex, but refreshing and enjoyable.

For the creation of the Gulden Draak Smoked, we go back to the ancient tradition of malt drying: smoking malt. This resulted in a smoked touch of the malt which you afterwards also could find in the beer. This typical smoky taste was lost over the years because the malt drying techniques were made considerably more efficient.

Witkap Pater Dubbel (alc. 7% vol.) is a dark abbey beer with cream foam head, a full flavour and hints of caramel. Remarkably dark beer that is particularly well associate with Belgian chocolate desserts.

St-Louis Gueuze Fond Tradition is a pure traditional gueuze aimed at connoisseurs. It has the pure taste of a true gueuze based on a blend of young and old lambics. Fruity apple aromas stand out. When tasting, the slightly sour touches, characteristic of lambic beers, make their presence felt. It is very dry in the finish.

St.Bernardus Tripel is a traditional abbey ale brewed in the classic "Triple" style of Belgium's best Abbey Ales. It has a blond to pale amber color with a wonderful head, slightly sweet aroma and the orangey-grassy flavors of hops in the finish. Wonderfully drinkable and surprisingly light.

Kriek Mariage Parfait is an “Old Style Kriek” of exceptional excellence, brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.  It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added.

Dominated by loads of fresh tart cherry notes with some mild barnyard and some vanilla notes,  balanced against a backdrop of musky roasted oak.

Duchesee de Bourgogne is the traditional top fermented reddish-brown ale from the West-Flanders region of Belgium. This refined ale also known as "The Burgundies of Belgium" is a blend of 8 and 18 months old ales following careful maturation in oak casks. 100% natural and unpasteurized.
