Unit price perJim Barry's Clare Valley Assyrtiko (pronounced 'As-err-teek-oh') comes from 15 kilometres south of Clare township in the village of Watervale on the Florita Vineyard, best known for fino sherry prior to 1962 and great Riesling ever since. A small block of this elevated vineyard is devoted to the Assyrtiko grape, which originally comes from the volcanic island of Santorini where hot days and cool nights allow it to retain freshness derived from the grape's naturally high acidity. The result is an outstandingly succulent, refreshing dry white. This wine will take you by surprise, in the best possible way. It was Australia's first Assyrtiko, made by Peter Barry, who fell for the grape and wine after a trip to Greece.

Unit price perVintage rose champagne is one of our favourite things and this one comes from arguably the most popular producer, Veuve Clicquot, owned by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey.
Veuve is named after the late, great Widow Clicquot, who was left not only a widow aged 27 but also in charge of running a champagne house. Her legacy is to have left both the brand and the region in better condition than she found them, mostly famously by inventing riddling; the turning of the bottle to remove the yeast sediment into its neck, prior to disgorgement. This resulted in higher quality, cleaner, fresher bubbles in both look and taste. Her quest was quality and she is widely credited with having raised it significantly in the Champagne region and in the bottles it produces.
This rose is typically a blend of base wines with 12% of still red Pinot Noir and aged for three years prior to disgorgement.

Unit price perDomaine Gérard Fiou is a family owned Estate that has been passed down for several generations. This old vine Sauvignon Blanc is grown on flinty soils in the Sancerre region of the Loire Valley. The exceptional flinty soils retain the day’s heat, keeping the vines at a moderate temperature at night which allows for even maturing of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The nose is characteristic of Sancerre with aromas of flinty minerality and delicate spice. The palate is powerful in fruit and in body. Generous acidity brings balance and seriousness to this wine.

Unit price perHennessy has been enjoying a rapper-related renaissance inthe last 10 years, but it?s much more than a symbol of conspicuous wealth andinconspicuous social graces. The VSOP stands for Very Superior Old Pale andmeans the youngest cognac in the blend has been stored in oak barrels for atleast 4 years. That means it?s gloriously smooth with honeyed fruit flavoursand suggestions of clove and cinnamon. ;Drink with: A selection of chocolates, Christmas cake or a Cubancigar from Regional.;; ;
