Established in 1996, proudly family owned and managed, Borthwick Vineyard produces wines that are a direct reflection of the Gladstone region, New Zealand. Ancient stony, alluvial soils, a cool climate, sustainable practices and minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery, mean our wines display distinctive single vineyard characteristics.

This wine offers is made with temperature controlled fermentation using only natural yeasts, combined with hand plunging to optimize the fruit and tannin balance. Following extended post-ferment maceration on skins the wine was drained and pressed to barrel. Rigorous barrel selection and blending is followed by minimal fining and filtration prior to bottling.

Aged in 100% French oak aged for 11 months with a mixture of selected cooperages of which 30% of the barrels are new.

The bouquet of dark plum, ripe cherries, thyme and toasted nut. A core of dark cherry, cloves and wild herbs are supported by bright fruit and French oak that complement spicy nuances with finely integrated fruit tannins.

Sea Foam V.2 is here! Few tweaks and changes since our out of the box smash debut release of Pet Nat - namely, a variety change. For the very first time, we?ve snagged some red hot Vermentino from the Riverland to make the core of this bubbly boi. We reckon it?s made the wine EVEN better.

Sea Foam is still as salty yet refreshing as ever. We took the bowl of nashi pears & green apples that were the core of the wine and added a touch more white nectarine, frangipani and a whiff of grassy freshness. Sea Foam is as close to the pure distillation of spring that we?ve ever released. Honestly, we?ve levelled up here. Sea Foam is like Terminator 2 - just that extra bit better. Mountains to Sea is features horopito from the mountain forests, manuka from the riverbanks, and kelp from the sea — a true New Zealand journey in every sip.

Tasting Notes
Taste: Full, deep fruity flavours with a subtle smokiness. The first taste of Royal Salute brings the subtleties of the nose to life. Sumptuous sweet orange marmalade flavours infused with fresh pears burst across the tongue. The second taste brings in a rich medley of spices and a nuttiness of hazelnuts that have a mouth-filling intensity and then the final warmth from hints of masculine smokiness.

Nose: Rich, fruity aromas and sweet fragrance of autumn flowers. Powerful aromas of sweet pears and citrus fruits are balanced with the full fragrance of autumn flowers. Elegant aromas of sweet vanilla and a dry oakiness are enhanced with subtle notes of sherry and smoke.

This second release from Diplomatico's 'Distillery Collection' comes from the Diplomatico's Barbet column still, which is filled with sugar cane molasses and continuously distilled. Aged entirely in American white oak barrels, this is a golden rum with notes of tropical fruit, toasted oak and fresh citrus fruits. The finish is slightly drying and long lasting. Coming Together in Celebration

Telling the story of Scotland’s world-famous Hogmanay festivities celebrated annually on 31st December, A Night on Earth in Scotland captures the universal joy of celebrating the change of year.

This seasonal release is a collaboration with acclaimed Japanese-French illustrator Erica Dorn, whose artwork has featured in director Wes Anderson’s films.

The single malt is presented in unique packaging to provide a special unboxing experience and Dorn’s playful abstract illustrations are inspired by the historic fire rituals dominant in New Year celebrations around the world.

Hogmanay Tradition
Hogmanay, pronounced "hog·muh·nei”, is Scotland’s renowned New Year’s Eve festivities. Erica Dorn’s bespoke designs reveal some of the distinctive customs of Scotland’s Hogmanay, including the act of ‘first footing’ when it is good luck for a dark-haired visitor to be the first person to cross the threshold of your home after the stroke of midnight.

According to tradition, the ‘first footer’ will carry three things: shortbread, whisky and coal for the fire. Each gift is designed to bring comfort and happiness to your home for the rest of the year. Shortbread is also a prominent flavour in the whisky.

Festive Flavours
A Night on Earth in Scotland is created from a selection of The Macallan’s exceptional American and European oak sherry seasoned casks, along with American ex-bourbon barrels to deliver its rich, sweet shortbread-like character. A whisky referencing the rich Scottish delicacy traditionally gifted and eaten at Hogmanay, punctuated by festive notes of dried orange and spice.
