Don’t let the lower case fool you, iStout is big, bold, and now barrel-aged. We’ve taken our iconic imperial stout and let it rest in whisky barrels, layering in smooth, dried fruit depth and a warm kick. Expect rich waves of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and oak, lifted by a punchy bitterness and bold hop character.

The Bugle is a lovely session ale, coming in at 3.5%. 

A modern NZ take on the pub ales of old. Built for balance and drinkability, the Bugle is golden in colour, with a soft malt sweetness and a restrained bitterness. It is lightly hopped with a classic blend of NZ Hops which bring subtle notes of citrus and tropical fruit. 

We stayed true to this German wheat beer hero and kicked off our brew using an authentic German yeast strain to produce those classic banana and clove characters which Hefe’s are known for. With wheat making up to 50% of the malt base, these flavours and textures combine to make for a really tasty and satisfying beer.  We finish it with just a touch of the mellow Pacifica hops to add just a hint of citrus, floral and delicate spice character.

The 2022 back Block Syrah exhibits plum, pepper, ripe tannins, subtle oak, vibrance and complexity. he Back Block Syrah is always one of Brookfields most popular wines – do enjoy!

PRODUCT OF GERMANY. A bright orange colour shimmers in the glass, above it lies a fluffy, white foam with a firm consistency. The naturally cloudy beer subtly smells of malt and freshly roasted white bread. A soft palate is surrounded by an elegant sweetness that balances perfectly with a discreet hoppy bitterness.

Tasting Note: HaziNESS pours like a spring sunset—glowing gold beneath a soft, milky haze. On the nose, you’re hit with a wave of ripe mango, crushed pineapple, and sweet citrus peel, backed by a gentle whisper of fresh-cut grass and soft pine. The mouthfeel is smooth and pillowy, almost creamy, with low bitterness and just enough carbonation to keep it bright. Each sip reveals new layers—peach fuzz, lime zest, and a dash of white grape—as if the flavour’s shifting beneath the surface.

Intense ruby colour with a pronounced, deep aroma. A nose of dark cherry, black plums, wild thyme and gentle oak spice. A bold, concentrated and balanced palate, with dark fruits, mushroom, dried spices and gentle wood flavours. Scrumptious textures with a gripping but lush mouthfeel, balanced acidity, gum coating tannin and a long refined finish. A truly special wine that reflects our viticultural, winemaking and lifestyle practices. Incredible drinking now but well worth cellaring for 10+ years.

Perfect winter wine for beside the fire, venison stew, slow cooked beef cheeks.

Impressively complex and enticing, the bouquet shows dark plum, wild strawberry, thyme, porcini, cured meat, and hazelnut aromas. The concentrated palate exhibits plush texture and expansive mouthfeel, superbly framed by beautifully melded tannins, simultaneously making it sumptuous and refined with a sustained, gratifying finish. At its best: now to 2035.

Great colour and brightness with a bouquet to match, there's power and richness with scents of ripe red berry fruits and new barrel  spices, smoke and draw. Aromas of dried raspberry and plum, violet and rose, then a mineral clay and stoy soil quality. Delicious on the palate with noticeable textures from tannins and acidity framing the core fruit flavours very nicely. An impactful wine with complexity and tension, lengthy and purity. Best drinking from 2027 through 2034+.

Only 19 hectares of Chenin Blanc is currently planted in New Zealand and Martinborough has produced a small amount of great Chenin Blanc for many years. We are excited to produce our first from the 2024 vintage.

Fragrant aromas of fresh cut pink grapefruit, yellow apple, fennel seeds, white cardamom and a note of lemon sherbet on the nose. The palate greets with fresh notes of lemonade, rock melon, toasted almonds and with a hint of beeswax on the finish. A textured and salivating wine, with a fine balance of phenolic texture with a long lingering palate. This is a deliciously complex wine from a truly great vintage; it captures the purity and charm of a much-loved harvest.

Wakachangi Lager. An easy drinking lager with a good indoor outdoor flow, the perfect beer with a kiwi twist, an Otago beer with north Canterbury flavours, brewed near Nelson by a west coaster with the ol' misty waters of the Waikato. Wakachangi - quite nice beer!
