Fermented on auince and crab apple skins for three weeks before being blended with Winter Nelis pears and bottled live. A New Zealand interpretation of an Old English classic.  Our Milk Stout contains a non-fermentable lactose sugar derived from milk.  Deep black and full bodied with mocha and milk chocolate aromatics, it is smooth with a slightly sweet, balanced finish.

More famous for The Godfather than for blood coloured red wine, Francis Ford Coppola has forged a name for both and this big red is an opulent, dark, plush, soft wine with flavours like black plums, black pepper and a spicy note. Deliciously smooth and easy to love.
The mysterious origins of the Zinfandel grape were uncovered in 2002 when DNA fingerprinting confirmed that Italy’s Primitivo and the slightly trickier to pronounce, Crljenak Kastelanski, an ancient Croatian variety, are genetically identical to Zinfandel. One grape, three different names and countries. And innumerable styles of different wines made from it - variety is the spice of life and of the wine lover's choice.

The first release of this special cuvee is from an exceptional Chardonnay parcel in the renowned Howell Family Vineyard.

Hints of orange peel and candied lime, flirt with cedar and toasted almond on the nose. On the palate the wine shows great power and presence on the attack, with a rich silky textured mid palate supported by a zesty acid finish, providing length , vitality and balance.

This wine will age extremely well over the next five-six years.

Big velvety Pinot Noir with depth of flavour - earthy notes, spice and dark red cherry fruit notes - in a full bodied style, made by Moy Hall winemaker Phil McArthur. 

This Martinborough producer is as well known for its superlative vineyard restaurant, which is arguably the best place to eat in the region... It's owned by Phil and Carolyn McArthur, who produce wine and great day time food. 

Phil is a professional winemaker in the region and brings a wealth of experience to bear on the wines, such as this Pinot Noir, which is dry, medium bodied and fresh with savoury notes and red cherry flavours. 

Refreshingly uncomplicated.

A Classic lager brewed with New Zealand’s distinctive and underappreciated Green Bullet hop.

4.5% ABV. 

'Smuggler Bay' Series - "We aged some of our Hot Curl-Hibiscus sour with Brettanomyces Bruxellensis. Then we added local bush honey and fresh raspberries. This myriad of flavours has produced a unique ale full of red berry fruits, soft chamomile aromas and a soft, pleasant acidity with underlying notes of beeswax-tinted honey. Expect the fruitiness to fade over time and more funky flavours to develop."

This dry, full bodied, flavoursome Pinot Gris is something special from the deep south and was fermented with skin contact in amphora to bring a new dimension to one of the most popular grapes in the world right now. Domaine Rewa has hit a new high with the small production of this lovely wine. 

The Natural State wines are made by second generation Churton Estate winemakers, Ben and Jack Weaver, sons of the winery's founders, Sam and Mandy. This Field Blend combines Petit Manseng (extremely rare in New Zealand), Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. All grapes were harvested on the same day and co-fermented then bottled, unfined, unfiltered with zero sulphur additions. 

Churton founder and winemaker Sam Weaver cut his teeth on the classic wines of the world while working in fine wine retail in the United Kingdom. His background is in microbiology and he was raised on a farm, so when he and his wife Mandy founded Churton Estate, it combined all of his passions. The couple and their adult sons, have created one of this country's most high quality small wineries, which lives up to the dream of creating 100% estate grown grapes, 100% certified organic production and 100% bottled on site, nearly all of the wines without fining or filtration. All grapes are hand picked and natural yeasts ferment the majority of Churton wines. These incremental qualitative decisions impact at every step of their winemaking provides exceptional quality grapes which in turn express themselves in outstanding wines.

The Natural State wines are the brainchild of second generation family winemakers, Ben and Jack Weaver.

Hatsukoi, meaning first love, is a Japanese inspired pilsner hat debuted during our Tokyo Taphouse pop up restaurant at 91 Aro Street. Brewed with light malted barley and rice using the traditional first press method. Clean, crisp with a delicate noble hop character.

Te Mānia’s vineyards, established in 1990, are located near the beautiful coastline of Tasman Bay on free draining, stony clay loam soils which have proved excellent for producing wine grapes of exceptional quality.  Te Mania is a two-time winner of the prestigious Bragato Trophy for Best of Show.

Nelson Chardonnay 2024
The Nelson region has established a strong reputation for this classic variety producing many top award-winning wines. Te Mānia Chardonnay is an elegant wine made with just a little oak to compliment and show case the fresh fruity flavours.  It can be enjoyed on its own or with a wide variety of dishes.  It’s particularly good with seafood and white meat dishes.

Nose:  Rich ripe peach aromas with floral citrus blossom. Freshly baked bread and melted butter notes with brown spices and toasted nuts from French oak barre

Palate: A concentrated rich wine with silky texture. Has savory, toasted nut flavour’s and a long fresh finish. Ripe peach and zesty grapefruit flavors.     

         
Vintage:  After pressing, the juice was fermented in French oak barrels with wild yeast.  The lees were stirred once a week for 3 months to add texture and complexity to the wine.  The wine was allowed to go 50% through a secondary malolactic fermentation.

Organic Status:  Certified Organic BioGro New Zealand.
Diet:  This wine is suitable for a vegan diet.

Pours a dark colour with a full and impressive palate. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant flavours, with ascending complex vinous notes.

9.2% ABV

Best Before: 2030/06/16

The allusion to pink elephants and the choice of names is not due to chance. With a particular character, the unique taste of results from the use of three different kinds of yeast. The result is a finish of peppery bitterness without aggression. The gray bottle hides a mystery awaiting discovery by the none faint of heart.

8.5% ABV. Belgian Strong Golden Ale

Best Before: 2028/11/06

Floreffe Triple owes its name to its high density and strong taste. The splendid mixture between bitterness and caramel characterises this beer. Like other beers made in Floreffe Abbey, it is not filtered. It may therefore be slightly cloudy if served cold. As the monks' recipe specifies, it is refermented in the bottle with yeast and sugar.

8% ABV
