Emerald Dreams — What better ride to represent our fresh hop drop for 2025. So dank and so green with stonefruit and citrus deliciousness, this NZIPA gets the best out of the mythical 109, with Nectaron, Rakau and Mot hops also making noise straight from the bine.

7.7% - Fruited Spontaneous Ferment Ale

Kyle Harrop from legendary Horus Aged Ales, squeezed in this collaboration (and a few rounds of disc golf with Dave) during a flying visit to New Zealand. Specially selected puncheon aged spontaneous beer, infused with organic Sultan, Satsuma and Billington plums picked on Roy Sunde's ‘Orchard’ disc golf course in Oratia. Tart, aromatic, colourful and utterly delightful. It’s an ace.

For years, Richard Emerson has had big plans to brew beers under the name Deafinition Unfortunately, these plans went off the rails. You see, Richard is easily side tracked. And the culprit is, almost always, trains. So, while he is off doing the locomotion, we’re brewing Deafinition beers for him. Chasing Trains is one of Richards favourite styles. A barley wine that’ll warm the palate, with fruity hoppiness, citrus and toffee flavours, and a wine like mouthfeel. Yes, it is a real trainspotters beer.

7.8% - Sunny Belgian Blonde Ale

Take a walk on the sunny side of the street. Brightside Belgian style blonde ale. A deceptively simple blend of Pilsner, candy sugar, Saphir hops and a special yeast strain creates a distinctly complex and deliciously drinkable golden ale with restrained spice, floral notes and a hint of bubblegum. Always look on the bright side.

BLANC DE HOUBLON - BELGIAN HAZY
This week we have a new batch of Blanc de Houblon coming out with a new look. We have labelled it 'Belgian Hazy'. A fruity blend of NZ hops meets a three strain Belgian yeast blend. The result is delicious.

7.2% - Raspberry & Plum Sour 

Sometimes life gives you another bite of the cherry. If you're really lucky though, you can have a second bite at all sorts of fruit. Two Bites, oak barrel aged beer, fermented with our own house culture and then ‘double dipped’ with second use raspberries and organic heritage plums for a deep, soft fruit flavour. Go on, have another bite.

McLeod's Scottish Wee Heavy or Strong Scotch Ale incorporates their house English ale yeast and rich, caramel-laden malts. A touch of rye rounds out the native Horopito which lends soft, evergreen notes to the finish. A unique Scotch Ale, it’s the perfect tribute to Waipu’s immigrant Scottish traders who landed at the turn of the last century with fresh hope in a new land of possibilities.
