Our take on an English-style Brown Porter, Pioneer is an award-winning beer that blends a proprietary malt list to a delicious end. Using a classic English ale strain imparts lovely fruity esters, both 'bready' & lively, with subtle cocoa & toast on the palate for a simple-yet-satisfying brew. Balanced, as always, & delicious. That's what beer's about, right? 

Our Mermaid's Mirth is a bit of a local legend here in Mt Maunganui. Generously packed with American hops where Citra, Simcoe, and Chinook deliver a citrusy flavour and aroma, supported by a clean and crispy body.

Exceptionally easy drinking for 6% she may be legendary but comes with a cautionary tale...

A hidden valley of hops. Tūtaki Haze, luscious hazy IPA, brewed with juicy New Zealand grown malted barley, wheat and oats and hops grown on the Nelson Lakes farm at the meeting point of the Mātakitaki and Tūtaki rivers. It’s Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Riwaka like never before, loaded with ripe tropical mango, passionfruit and lifted lime citrus. Discover a new world of flavour.

Brewed to tame your WILD THIRST this alcoholic Ginger Beer - GB for short - is brewed with lashings of fresh ginger and a splash of citrus for maximum refreshment when you need it most. Sparkling, juicy and with a touch of spice, this beer is ferociously delicious!

The 2024 release of 9 Inch Snails is a hazy India pale ale made with all NZ hops including Pacifica, Moutere, and Wai-iti hops for big juicy, fruity and resinous hop flavours.

THIS BEER IS RATHER NEAT, WE USE A BUNCH OF CANTERBURY WHEAT WITH SOME BARLEY TOO. A LUSCIOUS FRUIT SALAD OF NZ HOPS MAKES FOR 100% LOCAL UNFILTERED DELICIOUSNESS. WOULD YOU LOOK AT THE TIME, IT'S QUAFF O'CLOCK!

7.7% - Norwegian Farmhouse

It's a tricky business, getting into drinking competitions with giants. Expect the unexpected. Thor's Cup, inspired by the traditional farmhouse ale that has been made in Norway for centuries, using Kveik yeast (pronounced kwike in English). Brewed using fresh juniper branches in the mash and a touch of beech smoked malt, this beer's unique flavour comes from two mixed Kveik cultures collected from traditional brewers in Voss and Hornindal, and brought back to New Zealand. Dark malts vie with tart yeast driven complexity and subtle hints of smoke and resin in a beer that can truly claim to be unique. Drink deep from the cup, but keep your wits about you.

A smooth, easy- drinking lager brewed with Canterbury grown malts. Lightly hopped with NZ grown Motueka and European Saaz, which bring bright and crisp flavours. A super refreshing beer with a clean finish.

the moisture from your mouth and make sure you cannot taste anything after
drinking. This beer popular with hopheads and perhaps why they always talk about
hops? I imagine Al Capone may have done this to his enemies. Talk about hops I
mean.
