Oud Beersel Oude Geuze is one of nature’s miracles. Oude Geuze is a blend of lambic from different years. One-year-old lambic is still readily fermentable. Two-year-old and three-year-old lambic main contribution is to the taste. Blending the lambic produces a sparkling beer that is made in accordance with time-honored traditions. Oud Beersel Oude Geuze notable hop and fruit character is much appreciated by beer fans.

The taste of the Oude Geuze of Oud Beersel combines from way back a pleasant bitterness with a sour yet smooth character. The first mouthful refreshes the tongue and opens the way to the wondrous world of the spontaneous fermentation with its complex subtleties.

Emerson's Crickets Hazy Pale Ale Can 330ml

Wash down your huhu grubs, pickled worms, and mountain oysters with a refreshing can of Crickets. This hazy pale ale was created especially for the Hokitika Wildfoods Festival, using cricket flour, made by crushing the insects. The wild, high protein supplement helps increase the haze and body of the brew. But you will be relieved to know it just tastes like beer with delicious peach, passionfruit, and lemon notes. You won't like Crickets, you will love it.

Hopalujah is a celebration of the classic Pale Ale style, incorporating a marriage of hops from both New Zealand and The U.S. The hop experience is balanced on a malt backbone that supports both the hop aroma and bitterness. Representing the best of both worlds, it showcases a slightly nutty, toasted touch from the malt and hops that run the spectrum from citrus and fruity to floral, herbal and light pine. Hopalujah! This beer started out as our traditional mixed fermentation Berliner Weisse style beer which undergoes a long secondary fermentation with Brett ‘wild’ yeast. We then added a whole lot of pineapple to the beer which builds upon the pineapple esters that the Brett already produces. The fruit sugars were fully fermented out to maintain the dryness of the base beer. Combined with a high carbonation level, this is a very spritzy and refreshing beer.

They say its wings bring thunder and its eyes flash lightning, but the Thunderbird’s intensity is benevolent, its appearance a good omen. This bright IPA borrows its name to give a fresh retelling to a familiar story by keeping things lean, lucid and enlivening. Its dazzling tropical character comes thanks to modern hop varieties from North America, where these tales were first told.

A classic oatmeal stout dry hopped to fuck with the finest US grown Amarillo. Big Orange-citrus hop character, robust bitterness, classic coffee and cocoa.

5.0% ABV.

A golden peach lambic with a sparkling appearance and fruity taste. Taste: Golden in colour; with a nose that fills the room with fresh peaches. Sparkling, crisp and refreshing balance of fruit and acid.

Tasting Notes

A hazy yellow pour, is topped with a frothy eggshell cap that leaves nice lace. Full on fresh peach aroma, some yeast, tart citrus, smells inviting. Tastes sweet and tart. Lots of peach of course with a tart citric component that balances the sweetness. A bit of hops lead to a grassy finish. Very peachy and not overly complex, but refreshing and enjoyable.
