Rouge Max is a special blend of top-fermented and spontaneous beer, enriched with cherry juices. This beer contains 8% alcohol, which results in a full-flavoured and intense beer with a fruity cherry character and notes of vanilla.

The combination of dark beer with the cherries makes this one a very pleasantly balanced sweet-sour beer.

Lindemans Tarot d'Or is the result of a unique blend of high fermentation beer, lambic and various exotic fruits - such as mango, lime and honeydew melon. This blend makes Tarot d'Or a golden blonde, full of character and exceptionally exotic speciality beer.

Goyck is a blend of a top fermentation beer, Toots, and a spontaneously fermented beer, Lindemans lambic. The refermentation in the bottle with the Brettanomyces gives the resulting beer a hoppy and fruity character, a rather complex flavour and unique aroma! The beer has a fine sparkle and dry, hoppy finish.

'Goyck' refers to the old spelling of the beautiful village "Gooik"... a village and beer the Pajottenland is rightfully proud of!

PALM Ale has long been one of Europes top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. Its the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber colour, but without being heavy.

Baptist is reborn. In 1784, Jan Baptist de Bruyne founded Van Steenberge Brewery. In 2017 they launch Baptist, a clear top-fermented beer, as a tribute to the founder. The Baptist Blond is a slightly bitter and full-bodied beer with a soft aftertaste.

Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

The Du Bocq brewery created this wonderful brew and proudly presents this product at our online store. Deugniet is blond coloured and has quite a full and creamy head. This glorious craft beer has a beautiful body and a wonderful aroma. This top fermented beer is blond coloured and very thirst-quenching. This lovely blond brew referments in the bottel and is best served cold. The Du Bocq brewery, creator of this excellent beer, launched Deugniet in 1858. They still respect the original and authentic recipe.

While Brettanomyces (‘Brett’) yeast is known for producing the funky flavours and aromas in wild ales, it was actually first isolated from British stock ales, hence its name meaning ’British Fungus’ in Greek. It is believed that Brett living within the wooden barrels used to age these stock ales gave them their distinctive complexity and smoothness. Taking Stock was aged in oak barrels for eight months with the specific Brett strain that was originally isolated from these stock ales.

Bear Hug is an Oud Bruin style sour, otherwise known as a Flanders Brown. It was aged for 16 months in oak barrels, before being can conditioned for a further 5 months. This long aging period allows the Pediococcus bacteria to develop the desired sourness and also results in the malt profile  acquiring some sweet sherry like flavors. A complex blend of dark malts and fruity esters, with balanced sweetness and sourness.

Morning Light is a golden sour fermented and aged in wine barrels with Belgian Saison yeast, Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus. Fermenting directly in the four barrels gave the microflora living in the oak greater opportunity to develop unique characters. Morning Light was aged in barrels for 18 months and can conditioned a further 3 months before release.

This thirst-quencher opens with aromatic notes of coriander, followed by the flavour of fresh citrus and mild orange, with hints of wheat. This is followed by spicy and herbal notes and fresh hops with a slightly sour body. The fruity finish of lemon and apricot lingers in the mouth because of the mild tingle of carbonation

Chilli Mexican Lager

Once a summer keg only creation, we now have so much demand that we decided to package this spicy delight.  Still made with local Gisborne corn, all NZ malts and then sat to rest on Fire Dragon chillies from Northland.  A refreshingly dry lager that has just a touch of fire and flavour from our mates up north.

ABV: 5.0%

A blend of Oud Beersel’s Kriek and New Belgium’s Golden Sour.

Winner of a gold medal at the 2018 Great American Beer Festival, Transatlantique Kriek begins its life in oaken vessels of Gert Christiaens’ Oud Beersel, a 130-year-old lambic brewery in the Zenne valley of Belgium – home of authentic Lambic beer. After time spent aging in wood, Oud Beersel’s lambic is blended with tart Polish cherries and shipped across the Atlantic to New Belgium. In concert with Oud Beersel’s cherry lambic, or Kriek, we blend an equal portion of golden sour ale matured for 1 – 3 years in our oak vessels called foeders. 50% Sour Golden Ale blended with 50% Traditional Cherry Lambic Ale leads to an intense cherry nose, a sour flash across the palate and a refreshing, mouthwatering finish
