Originally bottled in 2018 this blend of mixed ferment oak barrels infused with rhubarb and strawberry was tucked away to condition and mellow. What happened next? Was it lost, was it misplaced or did it simply slip from our minds? ?Rediscovered? five years later, like a well aged wine the beer is transformed with the glow of french polished teak, mellow fruit and delightful sherry like complexity.

You can have too much of a good thing. London, October 17, 1814, one of the Horse Shoe Brewery?s massive beer vats collapses releasing over half a million litres of porter, demolishing nearby buildings and killing eight people - their causes of death variously described as drowning or drunkenness. The Great Deluge, brewed with barley, oats, roasted wheat and East Kent Goldings, then aged in oak barrels for over a year with brettanomyces and lactobacilli creating a throwback style porter with dark chocolate and coffee notes and a restrained tart twist. Enjoy in moderation.

7.7% - Norwegian Farmhouse

It's a tricky business, getting into drinking competitions with giants. Expect the unexpected. Thor's Cup, inspired by the traditional farmhouse ale that has been made in Norway for centuries, using Kveik yeast (pronounced kwike in English). Brewed using fresh juniper branches in the mash and a touch of beech smoked malt, this beer's unique flavour comes from two mixed Kveik cultures collected from traditional brewers in Voss and Hornindal, and brought back to New Zealand. Dark malts vie with tart yeast driven complexity and subtle hints of smoke and resin in a beer that can truly claim to be unique. Drink deep from the cup, but keep your wits about you.

A hazy riff on on our classic Venusian inspired pale ale, this Phoenix Foundation collab is packed with Amarillo, Citra and Centennial hops and infused with Lemongrass and Makrut Lime Leaf. Exotic tropical fruit flavours for a true celebration of Friend Ship.

7.0% - Hazy IPA

A hidden valley of hops. T?taki Haze, luscious hazy IPA, brewed with juicy New Zealand grown malted barley, wheat and oats and hops grown on the Nelson Lakes farm at the meeting point of the M?takitaki and T?taki rivers. It?s Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Riwaka like never before, loaded with ripe tropical mango, passionfruit and lifted lime citrus. Discover a new world of flavour.

7.2% - Raspberry & Plum Sour 

Sometimes life gives you another bite of the cherry. If you're really lucky though, you can have a second bite at all sorts of fruit. Two Bites, oak barrel aged beer, fermented with our own house culture and then ‘double dipped’ with second use raspberries and organic heritage plums for a deep, soft fruit flavour. Go on, have another bite.

10.5% - Triple Hazy IPA

It’s Maths 101, Garage Project and Green Cheek style. 2+2=5, a massive synergistic mash up of hop and grape aromatics, blending Southern Cross, Idaho 7 and fat stacks of Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin with a huge hit of Phantasm Sauv Blanc powder. The result is a swirl of gooseberry, pineapple, tropical jasmine, Raro fruit and just a touch of what our friends at Green Cheek refer to as the ‘Devil’s Lettuce’. Definitely a collab that’s greater than the sum of its parts.
