Beer and ballet - an unusual Pas de Deux. Brewed by Garage Project for the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Hops on Pointe teases the boundaries between high and low culture.

Brewed with premium German Pilsner malts, aromatic Nelson Sauvin hops and finished with a champagne yeast, the result is a pale gold lager with a crisp, clean palate, rich tropical fruit aromas and tight champagne bubbles.

Champagne Pilsner - 6.7% ABV

7.7% - Belgian IPA

If IPA and Belgian Blonde had a lovechild. Houblonde, Belgian style IPA. Glowing golden blonde ale, fermented with Belgian yeast and then hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe and NZ Cascade. Subtle floral, fruit and spice notes blend seamlessly with sauvignon blanc grape, fresh citrus and pine aromatics in a beer with juicy malt sweetness and balanced bitterness. You can have it all.

6% - Simcoe, Strata & Southern Cross Cali Pils

My turn. I Spy With My Little Eye Something Beginning With S. I’ll give you a hint. It’s green, and hoppy. Cali style dry hopped Pils, packed with Simcoe, Strata & Southern Cross hops in every form we could find, all in a crisp clean bright pilsner. Simply sensational.

5.2% - NZ Stout

Back in black. Iron Pig, New Zealand stout. Brewed using only the finest Canterbury malt and specially roasted barley, balanced with a shot of old school Green Bullet hops. Rich, satisfying, full flavoured stout with underlying notes of chocolate, coffee and toasted nuts. An instant classic.

6.9% - Watermelon, Habanero, Rosewater & Maize Lager

The people have spoken. Back by popular demand, it’s La Calavera Catrina. Inspired by Mexican style maize lager, but don't be fooled, she's no lightweight! Fired up with a generous addition of Habanero Chilli, and spiked with Rose Water and Watermelon, the result is cheeky, complex and fiery - what more could you want from our Lady of Death?

7.4% - Bière de Garde

Brewed in the traditional Bière de Garde style of Northern France. Complex malt, subtle hopping and prolonged cold conditioning creates a smooth, clean malt forward ale, with a rich deep burnished bronze hue, a dense, tight white foam, subtle fruit ester and fresh baked bread crust aromatics.

4.2% - Hunt for the Wilderpeople 10th anniversary brew

New Zealand lager, brewed specially to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Taika Waititi’s Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Canterbury malts and a blend of Motueka and Nectaron hops create a crisp golden beer, with easy bitterness and a soft stone fruit character. Pretty majestical, aye?

6.2% - Fresh hopped hazy harvest IPA

Fresh hopped, hazy, harvest IPA. A juicy blend of Nelson Sauvin & Rakau hops, all picked on the same day at Freestyle hop farm, half of the harvest was rushed still wet from the field to the Garage and plunged straight into this beer, the other half was quickly dried and added to the fermenter. The result is a beer overflowing with lush citrus, resinous pine and tropical fruit. Just New Zealand grown hops at their harvest fresh best.

6.0% - West Coast IPA

The hopocalypse is upon us. Our Dankest Daze, West Coast IPA, brewed with a killer line-up of Chinook, Centennial, Citra and Nelson Sauvin. A crisp, clean malt base, bursting with bright grapefruit citrus and dripping dank hop resin, all finished off with a delicious bitter bite. You can run, but you can’t hide.

East Coast anthem IPA - A big ol' hop poppa of a beer, packing an intense mango, tropical fruit hit from US big guns, Simcoe and Mosaic. It's just bigger and juicier than its bitter West Coast counterpart, like sippin' hazy hop nectar from a can. It's all good.

The arrival of hops to the brewing scene in England in the 1500's led to a moral panic. 

Hops were condemned as a 'wicked and pernicious weed', one which would lead to the erosion of social and moral standards. Thank goodness they were right. Here’s hoping that our homage to the original pernicious weed continues this gradual decline. Organic Rakau and whole cone Nelson Sauvin go head to head in this strong, golden, hoppy brew. Bitter, yes. Intensely hoppy, absolutely.

Cucumber Dill Pickle Sour

A clean, refreshing sour beer inspired by the burger’s classic companion - the dill pickle. Naturally kettle soured and infused with cucumber, dill, and pickle spice. This quirky refreshing beer would be the perfect playmate for the classic cheese burger, fish burger or any other pickle loving burger offering.
