Unit price perA true celebration of the seasons. At its heart, one of our first mixed ferment sours, aged for over a year in a large oak foeder, then rested on the finest sun ripened Otago peaches harvested at the very tail end of summer. Aged again over the autumn and winter months before being infused with an addition of bright golden marigolds, packaged and conditioned in bottle. The result of this patient process is a lush, radiantly golden beer, both sour and sweet, bursting with sunny aromatic peach and floral notes. Enjoy now or in seasons to come.

London, October 17, 1814, one of the Horse Shoe Brewery’s massive beer vats collapses releasing over half a million litres of porter, demolishing nearby buildings and killing eight people - their causes of death variously described as drowning or drunkenness. The Great Deluge, brewed with barley, oats, roasted wheat and East Kent Goldings, then aged in oak barrels for over a year with brettanomyces and lactobacilli creating a throwback style porter with dark chocolate and coffee notes and a restrained tart twist. Enjoy in moderation.

Unit price perIt's a tricky business, getting into drinking competitions with giants. Expect the unexpected. Thor's Cup, inspired by the traditional farmhouse ale that has been made in Norway for centuries, using Kveik yeast (pronounced kwike in English). Brewed using fresh juniper branches in the mash and a touch of beech smoked malt, this beer's unique flavour comes from two mixed Kveik cultures collected from traditional brewers in Voss and Hornindal, and brought back to New Zealand. Dark malts vie with tart yeast driven complexity and subtle hints of smoke and resin in a beer that can truly claim to be unique. Drink deep from the cup, but keep your wits about you.

Tasting notes
A showcase of Kiwi ingredients; Pilsner, Carapils, Munich and medium Crystal - all barley grown and malted in New Zealand, and they all bring a little bit more colour and body to this beer. The hops in this are NZ heavy-hitters Motueka and Nelson Sauvin, with a little bit of Mosaic as a support. The aroma is massive intense citrus, passionfruit, and the flavour is the perfect balance of malt-body sweetness and punchy bitterness.
