From a single refill hogshead of 2007 Mortlach, bottled at 16 years of age and reduced to this series’ trademark easy drinking strength of 48.5%.

Nose: Waxes, oils, cereals, and buttery notes combine with baked apple, starched fabrics, and nicely fatty olive oil touches. Very easy, rich, and full of the raw, malty ingredients.

Palate: Classic full-bodied Mortlach goodness! Lots of oily sweetness and waxes balanced by green and yellow fruits and cereals.

Finish: Long, warming, peppery, cereal, and full of more green fruits with some floral notes.

Part of the Equinox & Solstice series, this autumn release from Decadent Drinks showcases a more muscular side of Caol Ila. Matured in a second-fill oloroso sherry hogshead for 11 years, it balances smoky intensity with sherry depth and coastal charm.

Expect aromas of smoky bacon and struck flint, layered with white pepper and faint hints of stewed orchard fruit. The palate is bold yet composed—earthy peat meets warm spice, followed by a long, dry finish that lingers with subtle maritime salinity.

A compelling Islay dram for those who appreciate a peated whisky with both character and finesse.

This is Whisky Sponge Edition No.100. It’s a 2016 and 2017, 7 year old Ardnamurchan small batch.  

It’s a mix of 1st fill and 2nd fill, peated and unpeated sherry octaves., mixed together and married in a refill sherry butt for over six months until the whole potion turned 7 years old.

This is Whisky Sponge Edition No.95, it’s a 31 year old, multi-vintage, small batch blended malt - a mix of a 1992 2nd fill barrel and a 1993 1st fill barrel, that were married together and bottled at natural cask strength.  

Tasting Notes: 

Nose: Deeply luscious with layers of honey, ripe green and yellow fruits, and sweet, rich cereals and malt. Notes of custard, dessert wines, citrus, and wax add complexity, making it simply irresistible.

Palate: Luscious and brimming with honeys, sweet wines, waxes, pollens, beeswax, dried exotic fruits, and citrus marmalades. Pure pleasure in every sip.

Finish: Long and dominated by honeys and fruits—everything expected from a 30-year-old Speyside whisky.

From a single sherry hogshead of a famous family-owned Speyside distillery which started life in a 1st fill barrel, before spending over two years in a 1st fill sherry hogshead.  

Tasting Notes: Nose: The influence of American oak and sherry casks is immediately apparent, with abundant dark fruits, coconut, and hints of herbal liqueurs. Café latte, cedar wood cigar boxes, and light wood spice notes add complexity.

Palate: Velvety dark fruits lead the way, accompanied by a creamy sweetness, fruit teas, cinnamon bark, and crystalline green and exotic fruits. A lovely spicy richness rounds out the profile.

Finish: Medium in length, with a spicy sweetness that transitions into oily, waxy, and creamy sherry notes on the aftertaste.

This is the second half of the same butt of Ben Nevis 1996 bottled as Edition No. 58a, only this one has been finished in a 2nd fill sherry butt for just over two years. 

Distilled in 2009, this 12-year-old Glendullan has been aged first in Bourbon casks and then in Côte-Rôtie casks from the Rhone Valley in France. Expect some clean vanilla and green apples from the Bourbon, matched with red fruit notes from the red wine cask.

This Tamnavulin from Cadenhead has spent 14 years maturing in a small selection of ex-bourbon barrels. Aromas of juicy stone fruits soaked in syrup, fresh pineapple, peaches and grapefruit kick off this summery feeling dram. Zesty lemons with banana cake covered in caramel buttercream arrive on the palate. Finally, warm fruits, flat cola and chocolate biscuits come through to finish.

A 2002 Pulteney single malt from independent bottler Hunter Laing that was matured in a single ex-bourbon barrel for 19 years, before being bottled in February 2022 as part of its Old Malt Cask series.

TASTING NOTES:

NOSE: Clean, Citrus, Slightly maritime.

PALATE: Honey sweetness, herbal, white pepper.

FINISH: Long with more sweet herbal.

This 'Fife Blend' is a collaboration with a farm distillery in Fife and consists of a  25yo Cameronbridge finished in Marsala casks blended with 15yo whisky from an unnamed Fife distillery (very possibly Daftmill) and bottled at 56.3%.

Nose
Light and remarkably effervescent, with fresh grapes, peach, cherry and mango, alongside subtle richer notes of maple syrup and banana.

Taste
Ripe nectarine, mango and apricot merge with candied ginger stem, syrup and milk chocolate. A dash of water brings out big notes of tropical fruits.

Finish
Strawberries, dry champagne and passionfruit.

This Aberlour has been finished in a first fill oloroso butt and bottled by independent bottler James Eadie.

Nose
Fresh and aromatic roasted coffee, cloves and pepper mingle with strawberries and raspberry jam.

Taste
Soft, rounded fresh strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and redcurrants.

Finish
Thick strawberry jam and clotted cream.

That tune, that song... often the emotions that find us out are too strong, the nostalgia sneaks up on us too quickly. You used to listen to that song with your folks… and now you aren’t with them, or they are simply not around anymore. Your memory feeds back sensations and feelings that the encaged present cannot capture; it is incapable of rationalising. But they occur, and they are the ones who will take your place, and in your honour that same melody, that same music, becomes a masterpiece of man’s ingenuity, capable of transcending the future and moving closer to those indescribable moments of infinity and eternity.
In the same way this blend was born with the precise intent of enabling those who are getting to know us what past we have been capable of bringing about and at the same time to remind those who know us well who we are now and that this is what we wish to be. 

Listen: the backing track of an iconic Speyside distillery marries up perfectly with a great grain, arranging an aromatic bouquet worthy of a solo in the spotlight. A slow ouverture, but now bursts of ripe fruit, hay, lawn and petrichor. In the mouth majestic, warm and harmonious: we are back among the flavours of grandma’s kitchen: her sweet baking, her slightly, perfectly burnt mostaccioli biscuits.

Ten labels would not be sufficient. Protagoras, Socrates, Anaxagoras, and all the great figures of ancient Greece were orchestrated by Pericles, the city's architect par excellence. They created the perfect polis that inspired love from every corner of the known world, although it also provoked hate from some. May Zeus grant me the opportunity to take vengeance upon the Athenians! With these words, Darius ordered one of his servants to repeat the phrase "Master, remember Athens" three times during each banquet.

Here we present a blend of single malt and grain whiskies aged in sherry oak casks, originating from various city-states of Scotland and their distilleries. We have chosen the title "Architectus" to provoke those who dare to taste this blend, marked by impertinence and hubris. It is agile, simple, and clear, crafted by carefully selecting the finest elements. Upon nosing, it delivers a shocking aroma, fruity and delicate. On the palate, it offers a magnificent combination of flowers, sweet fruits, dried fruits, toasted nuts, cereals, and sweet spices. The fragrance of the Scottish fields gracefully merges with the mischievous sherry notes, creating a seamless and majestic experience that unfolds towards the southern horizon. Enhanced by a gentle summer glow, we find ourselves immersed in its captivating aroma as the sun slowly descends beyond the hills. Who knows how long it will take for such a remarkable alignment of eminent humans to occur again? It seems that even two thousand years have not been enough.
