Then it enjoys a two-month siesta in our own handmade American oak barrels until the perfect moment. If you're anything like us, and a margarita is your go-to, you know that it's nice to add a twist to the much-loved staple. It's not news that coconut and lime are a match made in heaven - this is summer in a can all year round, whenever and wherever you want it.

We get our ingredients straight from the source for a super refreshing and subtle coconut flavour: coconut water, real Mexican lime juice, and NZ sparkling water, sweetened with only agave syrup.

As diehard margarita fans we know the importance of using a good quality tequila and real lime juice to make the perfect drink. Our Original Sparking Margarita is just that.

Yoowe Bacanora is made in the state of Sonora, Mexico, from maguey Pacifica (Agave Angustifolia), which is also known as Yaquiana locally. The agave is cooked in a traditional underground oven with mesquite and oak. After a wild fermentation, there are two distillations in stainless/copper stills.

This is a spirit that the Yaqui Indians have been making in Sonora for some time. This is really rare. Aromas of pepper, earth and saline. The palate is complex and clean with minerals integrated with spice, notes of salt and mint. The palate is deceptively smooth, and oh so enjoyable!

ABV: 46%

Aromas of fruit, baked fully-ripened agave, green olive, and earth are invitingly present. Slightly brighter and a touch more rustic than the regular Blanco, the accents of butter, olive, earth, black pepper, and vegetal qualities in the flavour are enhanced because it comes straight from our small copper pot still, without adding water prior to bottling.

For years, the only way to sample this was to visit our distillery in Tequila, Jalisco. Until now.

Calle 23 (pronounced Kai-Yay 23) tequila is the result of a journey started in 2003 by French-born biochemist Sophie Decobecq. Sophie’s patience and passion drove her to create a tequila that could first of all satisfy her own palate, then the palates of potential aficionados. Calle 23 is a highland tequila from Jalisco. Highland tequilas are known for their sweetness. Sophie distils each expression separately (Blanco, Reposado, Añejo) using combinations of different yeasts. This is very unusual. The Reposado is 100% agave and is rested in ex-bourbon oak casks for 8 months.
