A Westport 'blended malt', distilled in 2003, aged for 21 years and bottled at natural cask strength.

Nose: Ripe dark berries, stewed plums, and rich fruitcake, with hints of polished oak, cinnamon, and toasted almonds.

Palate: Silky and mouth-coating, with waves of dark chocolate, spiced orange, sticky toffee pudding, and black cherries, balanced by a touch of espresso and walnut.

Finish: Long, warming, and deeply satisfying, with lingering notes of dried figs, molasses, and a whisper of oak spice.

Islay is mostly known for big, peaty, smoky whisky. Well, Bowmore is a little more dialled back, making it a balanced whisky featuring all those things you love about Islay, just in a more subtle way.Drink with: A splash of water if required.Established in 1779, Bowmore is the oldest legal distillery on Islay and one of the earliest in all Scotland. Located geographically and stylistically between the gentle whiskies to the north and the more powerful malts to the south of the island, Bowmore possesses a balance that ever-intrigues whisky aficionados. The malt is peated for a shorter period than with the stronger Islays, and the use of around a third of the casks for maturation being oloroso sherry contributes to its aromatic complexity and finesse. Eirigh Na Greine (pronounced "ae-ree ne gray-nyuh" and meaning "Morning Sky" in Gaelic) is an intriguingly complex marriage of vibrant Bunnahabhain single malts, including some of the finest ex-red wine cask-matured Bunnahabhain whiskies.

The Master Distiller has perfected the recipe to showcase Bunnahabhain's signature taste, which consists of roasted nuts, dried fruits and hints of sea salt and smoke. This complex bouquet has been further enhanced by the sweet, rich and spicy aromas imparted by the Italian and French red wine influence.

Only a small batch of Bunnahabhain Eirigh Na Greine is bottled every year.

With a rich sherry influence and aromas of fruit and nuts, this malt is guaranteed to transport you back to the shore at Bunnahabhain.

An Cladach, meaning ‘The Shore’ in Scots Gaelic, is as exquisitely layered and complex as its predecessors from the same range and as sweet and sherried as you would expect of a Bunnahabhain.

Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced Oog-a-dal), takes its name from the brooding mysterious loch which provides the peat-laden water for Ardbeg.  This is a special vatting of different styles of Ardbeg, marrying together its traditional deep, smoky notes with the luscious, sweet, raisiny tones of old ex-Sherry casks.

Inspired by the slow, soulful pace of life in Sicily and the glamourous allure of 1960s cinema, this is a whisky that takes all the elegance and charm of the Mediterranean, and fuses it with the rugged, windswept spirit of Islay.

The Bowmore aged 9 years has been matured in both ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks allowing the distinctive Bowmore smokiness to shine through. Released in 2016, this expression was aimed to be a limited release and now sadly is nearly disappeared for good

This unique expression from Laphroaig combines the unforgettable flavour of our 10 year old whisky with the sweet, aromatic flavours from the Oloroso sherry casks.

This marriage of casks creates a rich, full bodied flavour with notes of Manuka honey, bacon and maple syrup alongside the classic smoke, seaweed and hint of salt that Laphroaig is known and loved for.

The European oak sherry casks are carefully selected to compliment the unique and much-loved taste of Laphroaig. The additional sweetness and character of the Oloroso casks add complexity and balance to create a unique and exciting expression, but one that stays true to the character of Laphroaig.

Laphroaig has fashioned this whisky using malt from a number of different types of cask, including Oloroso Sherry butts, white American oak, Pedro Ximenez seasoned hoggies, Quarter casks and first fill bourbon casks. 

This does sport the hallmark medicinal Laphroaig qualities we all love so much but it's not packing a massive peat punch and so is a great entry whisky to the joys of Islay for someone just starting the Islay journey.

This expression offers an irresistible doubling of flavour due to the double maturation in two casks made of American oak.

Still-maturing whisky from our standard ex-bourbon barrels is transferred to quarter casks and left to rest in our warehouse just a stone’s throw from the Atlantic shore.

This process represents Laphroaig breathing new life into a once-defunct tradition: the use of the smaller cask size, which ensures increased contact with the oak, creating a soft and velvety edge to complement Laphroaig’s distinctive peatiness.

On the nose the sensation is toffee and caramel, caused by the vanillas and tannins of the American oak, plus a dryness from the wood oil.

The finish is long and alternates between this sweetness and smoke.

Aged in oak casks for at least sixteen years, this much sought-after single malt has the massive peat-smoke that's typical of southern Islay - but also offering a dryness that turns it into a truly interesting dram.
