From the hills of Pic St Loup, this is ample, round and fresh with lovely, structured tannins. Rich and complex on the nose, the palate is equally enticing with notes of black plum, black cherries and baking spices. 

 60% Syrah, 40% Grenache

This wine is the approachable easy going face of Minervois. Blend of Carignan and Grenache and just a tiny amount of Syrah, the wine is softer and much easier drinking than you might expect Minervois to be. Rustic charm by the bucket load but it also very obviously a well made wine.

Here’s a deliciously different wine from South Australian brothers Peter and Duncan Lloyd, who were brought up with wine in McLaren Vale, South Australia, which is an experimental hotbed for interesting varieties. Flavours here are all about ripe licorice balanced by soft plummy fruit flavours balanced by firm acidity which adds structure and length to every interestingly quirky sip.

They used five grapes which originate in five different countries to make this interesting new take on Australian red wine. The grapes are Touriga (originally from Portugal), Grenache (French), Negroamaro (Italian), Mourvedre (French/Spanish) and Shiraz (Australia’s stock in trade).

Melee from Paulmara Estates is a red wine from the Barossa Valley, South Australia. made with a blend of Sangiovese, Shiraz, and Malbec, with a 75%, 20%, and 5% ratio respectively.

This wine offers a variety of fine spices including mint, dried herbs and cedar on the nose which lead to a palate of sweet red fruits  - plum, wild strawberry and blueberry, bolstered with powdery tannins. The Sangiovese provides a fresh acid line, while the Shiraz provides ripe fruit density and richness. The Malbec provides floral notes and red and blue fruits

Domaine Fazi rosé is translucent, airy and pale in appearance with a very subtle nose, slightly fruity, slightly spicy, with fine and elegant aromas. On the palate, it is fresh and reveals a persistent finish and perfect balance with notes of papaya, citrus and red summer berries.

35% Sciaccarellu, 30% Merlot, 25% Grenache and 10% Cinsault

A classically styled rose from the wine's spiritual home in Bandol in Provence, Southern France made with 50% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache and 25% Cinsault.

Bleu Rivage rose has an intense melon pink colour and a nose that is slightly spicy with accompanying hints of citrus fruits. On the palate, this wine is robust and round with good balance, and a grapefruit-like finish.

Susumaniello is an Italian red grape from Puglia in the south of Italy and is known for its enticing aromas of red berries, blueberries and a savoury finish. It is related to the Garganega grape from Veneto in the north. Expect a fresh, fruity, dry and highly drinkable wine in this one - and you won't be disappointed. 

One of the world's great value sparkling wines, made the same way as champagne, often from the same grape varietiess and in France, only it is not aged for as long in the bottle. That said, the complex yeasty rich flavours and dry taste of this lovely Alsatian bubbly definitely give more than a hint of the depth of taste in a good champagne. 

This wine in its cleanliness and elegance is the synthesis of the entire winery, which has always cultivated its lands in a way that respects nature.

Tasting Notes:

A young but thick Chianti, with a beautiful nose, clean, balsamic, with floral and fruity notes. In the mouth the liquorice blends with the intense cherry and raspberry scents that remain in a pleasant finish. A fresh and very drinkable product .

2016, sourced from low yielding gnarly bush vines.  Largely aged between 35 and 80 years. This wine is Barossa Grenache at its best.  Bright red fruits and spice flow on to a rich, yet savory palate delivering a wine of elegance.  Tight structure and tremendous length  The subtle use of French oak enhances the true varietal characters of this classic Barossa Grenache.
