Made with 95% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec with fruit from Stellenbosch and Paarl grown only on decomposed dolomite granite, which gives a great acidity and freshness to the wine and adds minerality to the finish. Beautifully ripe and oozing with brooding dark fruit flavours of cherry and blackberry.  

Winery

Tapiz is one of the new and successful wineries in Argentina. Our success is based on our great terroirs, our brand new equipment and technology and, above all, our strong and experienced team. Winemaker Fabian Valenzuela was joined by Jean Claude Berrouet in 2012. Jean Claude is the recently-retired winemaker of Petrus, having presided over 44 vintages at this revered Bordeaux winery. We are proud that Jean Claude chose to work with us exclusively in Argentina.

We are a 100% family business, that started 10 years ago with a clear mission:  to produce the best wines and olive oils possible, protecting the environment and preserving regional cultures.

Our terroir defines us and our products are our finest expression of this identity. We are convinced that to achieve these goals, we must produce our grapes, so that every year each segment remains its style and quality.  We have 8 vineyards in the best and most representative wine areas, Globalgap and Good Manufacturing certified, allowing us to have lines with specific characteristics of each region.

Tasting Notes

Garnet red color with intense violet tints. The aromas and flavours of fresh red fruits such as blackberries and plums are interspersed with aromas of flowers and spicy notes. The oak aging provides vanilla and toasted almonds notes. Balanced and voluminous.

A gorgeous fruit forward, modern Rioja with minimal oak use from the Rioja Alavesa region; the smallest of the Rioja sub-regions and comparable to Rioja Alta in terms of its high quality. The nose is pure and expressive of dark cherries and bramble fruit and the palate shows depth and purity with superb balance from fine chalky tannins and keen acidity. 

This wine was fermented using only indigenous yeasts, natural to the vineyard, allowing for excellent terroir expression. Lees ageing and regular batonnage for 10 months has increased the complexity and creaminess of the wine and further heightened the palate weight.

The nose shows apricot, honeysuckle and orange zest aromas. The palate offers a long, luscious texture and notes of orange zest, with a touch of honey and toast. A long, rich and luscious palate finishes with a citrussy freshness.

The Seguinot family has been in Chablis since at least 1590 and this estate is now managed by Daniel Seguinot and his daughters, Emilie and Laurence. It covers 20 hectares on a south west facing slope in this most northern region in Burgundy. 

Thee family makes four different wine styles from Chablis, ranging from Petit Chablis and  Chablis to the two Premier Cru, Fourchaume, and Homme Mort.

This wine offers very good value for money and highlights this classic traditional home of the much loved Chardonnay grape.

Rocca delle Macie Chianti Classico is a fabulously affordable expression of Tuscany's great Sangiovese grape, which makes up 95% of the blend here with 5% Merlot providing a softness and supple texture to the wine as well as adding smooth plummy flavours. 

This is a savoury little number with bright acidity adding freshness and length to every sip. This is a tasty little number for drinking now or in the next couple of years.

THE CHIANTI CLASSICO APPELLATION

Chianti Classico is the heart of the wider Chianti production zone and its wines are distinguished by a trademarked black rooster on their labels. The wines of Chianti Classico are higher in quality and noticeably so in taste than wines labelled Chianti, which come from a broader area in Tuscany. The wines taste better because the vines are planted on hillsides with a higher degree of  iron rich soils and a greater diurnal temperature range, which provides more powerful, riper fruit flavours, which are balanced by higher acidity thanks to the cooler night time temperatures. 

The Sangiovese grape must make up 80% of all wines labelled Chianti Classico compared to 70% Sangiovese for wines labelled Chianti. 

Chianti was first defined as a wine producing sub region within Tuscany in 1716 by the Grand Duke of Tuscany Cosimo III, whose wanted to protect the integrity of the wines and prevent fraud. The Chianti Classico Wine Consortium was formed in 1924 with the distinctive Black Rooster trademark chosen to feature on the labels. 

An exceptional dessert wine. Local wild cherries are infused with the prior year's vintage (Montepulciano and Sangiovese). Deep red and intense, with cherry aromatics and bright, balanced acidity. 

The great white Greek grape Assyrtiko is having a new lease of life around the world, thanks to interest from winemakers as far flung as Australia (Peter Barry is one of its biggest fans) and drinkers on both sides of The Atlantic. It's original home is the stunning Greek island of Santorini where, despite the hot climate, it has adapted to retain relatively high acidity, which gives its fresh taste when youthful and preserves it as a great wine to age too. If you're looking for the ideal white to drink with seafood, here it is. Also a great aperitif white.

From Artigiano Imports: A more complex and lifted take on Grasparossa, 7-Bio is made from certified organic hillside vineyards, where vine age can exceed 40 years — exceptional for this vigorous variety.

The wine maintains the intensity of the Tradizione bottling but layers in more structure and refinement: blackcurrant, plum skin, wild herbs, and a fine, persistent mousse. Dry but juicy.

Awarded best wine for quality-to-price in the sparkling category by Tre Bicchieri (2025), 7-Bio shows what Lambrusco can be when taken seriously — and grown with care.

Vigor is made from Sangiovese and Merlot grapes grown in the Marche hills, rolling down the Appennine mountains to the Adriatic sea. Aged for one year in oak cask. This is a very fruity wine with savoury undertones. Medium bodied on the palate with balanced acidity, Vigor is a very versatile wine.

San Marzano Edda Bianco Salento IGP 2021

Area: Puglia/ Apulia

Edda (‘she’ in Salento dialect) is the feminine and sensual soul of San Marzano. It is a complex white wine, full of Mediterranean notes. Noticeable acidity intertwined with an enveloping and elegant warmth, savoury and mineral notes on the palate. The Chardonnay grapes give the wine finesse and longevity, together with different varieties indigenous to Puglia, that year after year compete to complement the blend.

Appellation: Salento IGP

Vine training: Guyot Vines per ha: 4.500

Production area: San Marzano (TA), Salento, Puglia. The area is about 100 m above sea level and benefits from great diurnal temperature variations

Vinification: Destemming of the grapes and cryomaceration for a few hours, followed by a soft pressing of the marc and cold settling. Alcoholic fermentation in French oak barrels

Ageing: In French oak barrels for 4 months on the yeasts with a weekly bâtonnage

Tasting notes: Straw yellow with goldish reflections; mellow floral notes, peach and delicate vanilla hints pervade the nose. Generous in its elegance, fresh, delicate and mineral

Best served with: Starters, fish first courses and cheese Serving temperature: 12-14°C

Umani Ronchi is an excellent Italian wine producer in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It's a company that makes a wide range of wines, including this incredibly delicious Montepulciano, which massively over delivers in taste. 

Big, bold and deep in colour, it has powerful dark fruit flavours held together in a smooth full bodied style with spicy notes adding complexity. Medium acidity adds balance to the blend, making for a beautifully integrated wine which is stunning value for money.
