Salvage yards were walked in search of heritage coloured glass to inspire the evocative deep green colour of the stunning bottle design that houses the new Strange Nature Gin, which was launched in October 2021 by Giesen Wines. 

This gin contains only one botanical, juniper, for which classic traditional gins are best known but it also has another familiar flavour to New Zealanders - Sauvignon Blanc. 

This gin is made from the alcohol removed from Giesen Wines' 0% alcohol Sauvignon Blanc. It is twice distilled and, while it has the hallmark aromatic flavour notes of Sauvignon, this is a classic style of gin with distinctive peppery juniper aromas. 

“The Sauvignon Blanc spirit tastes so extraordinary we didn’t want to disguise it,” says Kyle Skene, distiller and Giesen Group general manager, who spent 18 months trialling and refining Strange Nature Gin, prior to its launch.

Paulaner Weissbier is hazy dark golden with a white head. Fruity, spicy sweet aromas of clove and over ripe bananas. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Good flavour strikes a balance between ripe bananas, sweet pale malt grist, clove, with a tart wheat taste to finish.

No San Fran shenanigans or LA mayhem here, friends, just a cloudless sky vibe & the crisp assurance that beer is good. For this one, seismic doses of Simcoe & Mosaic + Galaxy by Abstrax Hops lend luxuriant, lush tones to a dry Pilsner body. Think Northern Cali dank green meets So Cal arid desert expanse & you’re onto it. Whether you’re a Pilsner-style fan or just a beer aficionado, it’s awesome. Totally awesome.

 2nd place(tied) in this years NZ Stout Challenge, we brewed a milk stout that is layered with cacao and vanilla.  Ale, crystal, brown and chocolate malts form the malt base with lactose, cacao and vanilla added at the end of boil.  Lucious, smooth and moreish with a rich cacao and vanilla hit on the nose and in the mouth with just enough bitterness from the kettle additions of the English hop East Kent Golding to balance out the sweetness.
