Leffe Blond is an authentic blond abbey beer with a slight hint of bitterness to it.

Madeira comes from the Atlantic island of the same name, which is part of Portugal and is nearly 1000 kilometres south, situated off the African coast. This wine is fortified (as are most Madeiras) and has rich caramel flavours balanced by a touch of saltiness. It is ready to drink now and will not evolve further in the bottle. This Madeira is, like many fortified wines, extremely good value for money. 

Peckham's - To make Pommeau we ferment apple juice fresh from the press, allow it to mature and then have it distilled into apple brandy.  About 12 litres of cider go to make each litre of brandy.  The brandy is aged in oak casks until blended with fresh cider apple juice the following harvest.  The sweet, brandy-rich Pommeau is then matured in oak for a further six months before bottling.

Peckam's x Duncan?s

Fresh Hopped is a special collaboration with our friends at Duncan's Brewing Company, a celebration of our two harvests coming together.

Duncan's works with Eggers Hop Farm for their hops each year which is located a stone's thrown from our orchard.  Together with the Duncan's team, we collected fresh hops straight off the bine from Eggers and brought them back to the cidery.

For the freshest hop cider in the land with beautiful lush hop flavour, our cidermaker Jody, added the hops to a partially fermented cider and then over night the fermentation completed with the fresh hops soaking.

The result is a fabulously aromatic cider, dry in style with a delightful citrus and tropical character coming from the fresh Motueka hops.  Balanced and fruity, the hops and the apple flavour are perfectly integrated for a refreshing cider.

This Gewurztraminer shows notes of mango, ginger, nutmeg and rose petal on the nose. The palate is powerful, with fruit flavours supporting a smooth flowing structure that lingers in the mouth.

Carlton Dry is clean filtered for a refreshingly crisp, dry lager. Low in bitterness, it delivers superior drinkability from the first sip to the last.

Tooheys Extra Dry is well known for its clean, refreshing taste. Its crisp, dry finish is achieved by an extended fermentation, ensuring minimal residual fermentable sugars. Wonderful fruity, malty notes accompany a mellow middle palate, leaving a clean aftertaste.

American Pale Ale - citrus, tropical, floral & pine notes from the hops with a light biscuity malt profile.

The Expatriate is an American Pale Ale leaving the homeland in an exploration of something more.  It had no idea it would find New Zealand but the hops were too good to pass up. An alliance of US and NZ hops are sure to enlist your palate for a second round.

Fire Horse is a stone cold killer – in all the right ways. The 4th in our Mecha Series rolls in with massive flavour, big horse power and rumbling hops, built to be the hottest buy of the month. It’s smooth in the saddle but quick to the kick – careful, it’ll get away from ya.

Flavours: Pilsner malt, wheat malt, rolled oats, flaked wheat and a touch of Gladiator build a dense, pillowy body that keeps the 10.1% riding clean. Nectaron, Citra and Krush pump out fruity, bright, tangy candy notes – pineapple, passionfruit, citrus and juicy tropicals – with soft bitterness and saturated hop oils. Stone cold on the palate, hot property in the fridge.

From the distinguished vineyards beneath Te Mata Peak in Hawke's Bay, this premium 2020 Chardonnay reflects a rich, textural style synonymous with the region's finest wines. Crafted to express the character of the land, it reveals layers of ripe peach, citrus curd, roasted cashew, and subtle flinty complexity, complexed by generous French Oak 

Jean-François Ganevat—known as Fanfan—is making wine with the inspired magic of an alchemist. He comes from a long line of winegrowers, dating as far back as 1650. He took over the family estate in 1998. With only eight and a half hectares under vine, the family has seventeen different local varieties planted of both red and white grapes—an incredible amount of variation to consider for holdings of such small size. Jean-François creates a stunning number of cuvées, ranging between thirty-five and forty every year! His methodology goes far beyond the details of the average vigneron.

J’en Veux Encore is Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris – Semi Carbonic fermentation, sweet fruited, very energetic – very crisp, light, and very pure.

The Wrekin Vineyard lies within its own small valley located on the north facing slopes of the larger Fairhall Valley. It is also a part of the sub-region of Marlborough known as the Southern Valleys. Jan and Andrew along with their family began planting on the north facing slopes of these foothills in 2002 with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and later Chenin Blanc. 

This is one of the highest vineyards in the valley. Its ancient clay soils overlying greywacke parent rock are significantly different from the loess soils occurring in the lower areas. The elevation, rolling hillside and orientation of the vineyard blocks, which were established on undisturbed soils, also contribute to the unique terroir of this site. 30 hectares of rolling slopes now form The Wrekin vineyard, certified BioGro organic and biodynamically farmed.

This wine is influenced by the beautiful intensely flavored bunches selected from the three major aspects of the Wrekin Chenin Blanc block (morning, mid-day and afternoon sun exposure), and most importantly the dedicated farming of this beautiful vineyard.

25% whole bunches foot stomped in vineyard, left to soak on skins and stems for 10 hours. Poured over remaining 75% whole bunches for pressing: the heads and tails of pressing to stainless steel(60%) for primary fermentation, the hearts to old neutral puncheon for primary fermentation to complement and enhance phenolics. Full MLF, left on fine lees for 18 months, before bottling without fining or filtration, 70mg/ total sulphites, vegan friendly.

Elegant and robust Syrah from the hand of Rod McDonald - one of New Zealand's masters with this varietal. Plush dark fruit forward flavours lead into a full bodied, dry and spicy Syrah with a long and savoury finish.

This vibrant, aromatic wine has flavours of gooseberry and limes, with a lively finish. We love to drink it with seafood and pasta dishes and delicious summer salads. No cellaring required.

White haven Pinot Gris is a versatile dry style with flavours of fresh nashi pears and crisp red apples, a medium body and textural finish. It's a great wine for everyday drinking with or without food, a lovely aperitif style to enjoy at lunch and early evening.

Whitehaven Wines began life in 1994 as a romantic business for a couple of corporate escapees, Sue and Greg White, who had given up life in the rat race of Auckland for another kind of life aboard their yacht. When sailing around the country, they took shelter in the Marlborough Sounds from Pacific storms and fell in love with the region. An easy thing to do when harbouring in the spectacularly pristine waters of the Sounds. They decided to settle there on terra firma once more and try their hands at wine production, hiring a winemaker and beginning a business which has now been around for 26 years. Greg has sadly passed away now, leaving a legacy as well as his wife and daughter, Sam, to run the winery.
