A few years ago we went to Tampa, Florida to brew a massive Imperial Stout together with our friends at Angry Chair Brewing. 2022 it was time again, but this time it was brewed in Sweden, here is the barrel aged version.

Yes, you love her. But oh boy can she be difficult. But then again did you want her to be the boring mass produced lager type, the vanilla of girl friends? Of course not. Celebrating the intricacies of relationship we created this Stout, which has a lot going on. It is matured on Coffee beans, Cocoa nibs, Bourbon Vanilla beans & Tahitian Vanilla beans. Wow, that sounded tasty. To top that, it is aged on American Oak chips. This is a big beer loaded with dark roasted malts. Your mouth will be filled with coffee and chocolate flavours, supported by the warmth of vanilla. All is balanced by a good load of hops, which will bring this beer to a bitterness of 85 EBU which we hope is much higher than in your relationship. Cheers to her!

BARREL AGED LAST MINUTE STOUT

Stout 8.4% 330ml

Sometimes the best ideas come at the last minute. Our robust Oatmeal coconut and vanilla stout has big bold roasty espresso notes wrapped in the oaky vanilla character that can only come from time relaxing in a bourbon barrel. 

Minerva Stout, our pride craft beer is a full bodied, dark color, aroma and flavor of cocoa and coffee, sweet stout style Ale type fermentation. The friendly and round flavor Minerva Imperial Stout marries perfectly with sweet flavors like chocolate truffles or the duck confit with light garlic mayonnaise, so it is excellent for red meats in general.

6.0% ABV

Lost Coast Brewery's Imperial Stout has a rich malty flavor with hints of chocolate, coffee, caramel, burnt sugar, and raisins. It’s moderately hopped with Magnum and Saaz to provide balance

The Gulden Draak Imperial Stout is a dark brown to black-colored beer and is the heaviest beer in the Gulden Draak range with its 12° alcohol percentage volume. The typical roasted taste is obtained by adding roasted, caramelized malt that is used exclusively for this. It is a very well-balanced heavy beer.

The aftertaste is rich and powerful. When tasting this specialty beer you discover aromas of banana and chocolate. The secondary fermentation works beautifully and will perfectly balance the higher alcohols.

Aged in Craft Beer Barrels. The classic Jamesons triple-distilled smoothness is very much intact, notes of cocoa, coffee and butterscotch confirm the stout influence. Caskmates is a head-turning, modern Irish whiskey.

Belhaven Black Scottish Stout really is something completely different. Fresh roasted aroma and taste with a hint of coffee from the roasted barley used in the recipe. The addition of Chocolate malt adds a dark chocolate complexity. Simply hopped with Challenger to provide a clean low level bitterness. The dry hop character from challenger is kept to a minimum allowing the key roasted and chocolate flavours to come to the fore

There’s a new stout in town, and it’s demanding your attention. Chocolate and extra dark crystal malts give layers of roasted, toasted coffee and cocoa, with a hint of caramel coming through. Classic stout, brewed in and for this century. Old dog, new tricks

Night Spirit Imperial Stout is a luscious black ale that has been aged more than 10 months in whisky casks that held very special NZ single malt whisky for more than 20 years. The casks have a great story to tell and amazing flavours to contribute to the beer.

Originally these American oak casks held American bourbon from J. T. S. Brown and Sons (now Heaven Hill) and were coopered in the early 1960’s. The resulting beer is deep, dark, and intense in flavour with notes of oak, roasted barley, black malts, vanilla, and whisky.
There were a very limited number of NZ Whiskey Co. barrels, and we can coax the whiskey character out of a barrel and into a beer only once. After that, the barrel may offer oak flavour, but the whiskey character is essentially lost. Each bottle is hand numbered. The 2017 release is sold out. Annual releases are planned for 2018 – 2021 and supply is very limited.

Count yourself fortunate if you are lucky enough to get your hands on some of these bottles. It is a unique experience which can’t be repeated and the beer will age gracefully for years. We expect the sweet spot to be around 3-5 years. Do not serve cold! Treat it like a port or red wine and serve it in an elegant glass.

Introducing Affogoato smoothie stout. This indulgent 7.5% affogato inspired stout delivers rich espresso, creamy vanilla, and dark chocolate flavours with every sip. It's thick, smoothie-like body, created by the use of Minor Figures oat milk, enhances the velvety mouthfeel. This boozy little number is literally a classic Italian dessert in a glass....oh mama mia!!

We’ve transformed our classic Speedway Stout into a decadent peanut butter cup-inspired treat. Roasted peanuts blend with rich chocolate malts, bold coffee, and Dominican cacao nibs.
