Founded in 1923, Cantina Settecani is a cooperative winery in the heart of the Castelvetro hills, bringing together over 200 growers. With deep roots in the Modenese countryside, Settecani has earned a reputation for crafting expressive, affordable Lambrusco wines that celebrate the diversity of local terroir. Their focus is primarily on Grasparossa di Castelvetro, the most structured and tannic of Lambrusco varieties.

The Tradizione  Secco bottling is a classic expression: bold, dark purple with a creamy mousse, showcasing black cherry, ripe plum, and a hint of spice. Lambrusco Grasparossa delivers body and depth without sacrificing freshness. A perfect companion to Emilia’s rich cuisine.

The name Settecani translates to “Seven Dogs,” but the origin is pure local folklore. Legend has it that a priest, spotting seven inebriated men stumbling out of a tavern, jokingly declared: “They look like seven dogs!” (Sette cani!). The name stuck — first to the hamlet, then to the winery. Today, the coop remains proudly rooted in this community, producing deeply fruited wines like this one

Coleraine derives its name from the Coleraine vineyard, home of John and Wendy Buck of Te Mata Estate. John’s late grandfather was born in Coleraine in Northern Ireland and the name has been maintained through the family home to the wine. Originally a single vineyard wine, from 1989 Coleraine has been an assemblage of the finest wines produced from distinct plots within Te Mata Estate’s oldest vineyards on the Havelock Hills.

Te Mata’s cabernet collection, sourced from seven noble selections across 24 vineyard parcels, is majestic in the  Coleraine ’23 blend, commanding a regal 80% of the composition. Joined by 15% merlot and a touch of  5% cabernet franc, this royal assembly reflects the multitude of soil types and vineyard sites that define our  sub-regions. Coleraine is New Zealand’s greatest red wine – a true returning king in every sense.

Overall : Remarkable freshness with notable and refined tannins to due long oak ageing.

This brand-new expression from the Glen Scotia distillery was made entirely from unpeated barley and matured for 10 years in ex-bourbon American oak casks. The distillery's home by the sea brings a maritime character to the aroma, with sea-spray saltiness. Flavours of sweet apple, brown sugar and mellow spices join in, with a creme caramel / vanilla'd tone from the wood. A great introduction to one of the most acclaimed distilleries in Scotland

Shikuwasa citrus umeshu 720ml

Shikuwasa is a citrus from Okinawa, with an acidic flavour profile similar to limes. This umeshu is infused with real shikuwasa juice.

The result is a balance between the sweetness of umeshu and the zesty acidity of the shikuwasa citrus.

Conmpared to the yuzu umeshu, the flavour profile of this umeshu is lighter and more subtle.

A delicious fruit salad sort of beer thing. Subtle berryish
aromas with a super xxtra flavour of quenching mint and hints
of slightly rotten lychee. Thirst be gone.

Pale Ale brewed with a mix of NZ and US hops.Back in the day, Whare Matangi, estranged son of Ngarue, was given a magic dart, or tara, that would lead him to his father. After a few throws the tara hit Ngarue’s house at the mouth of the river. The place became known as Te Whai-tara uni-a-Ngarue, or Waitara. Our own Magic Dart aims for an American-style golden ale with a combo of US and kiwi hops combining sweet stonefruit and tropical aromas.

Crisp and clean like a snowball to the face is how we describe our pilsner. Different to classic European pilsners but with the heritage of all imported malts to create that signature flavour and mouthfeel. Called an NZ pilsner as it is hopped with all NZ varieties that scream to be shown, the riwaka and nelson sauvin show a medly of grape and passionfruit with a lime zing. Light to medium bodied with the creamy mouthfeel of well brewed german malts and a crisp refreshing bitterness to quench the thirst. Winner of a gold medal at 2021 brewers guild awards.

Juicy Little Thing supercharges the hop squeeze, serving up fresh-picked flavor on pillowy malt. Jammed with dry hops, Juicy Little Thing uses a specialized yeast to enhance the fruity notes of guava, mango and grapefruit, while also refining the smooth mouthfeel that helps boost the juice!

Hot, dry, long and reliable. And that's just the vintage conditions in Hawke's Bay in 2020. This wine is a beautiful expression of a warm vintage with a long summer. Flavours here include blackberry, spice and liquorice which combine to produce a fruit dominant but complex wine. A small inclusion of the white variety Viognier gives the wine beautiful perfume and allows the wine more accessibility while young.
